Last time out, I said it couldn't get much worse than 0–2 but then I followed it up with another 0–2 day. Maybe the pin in my thumb stretched into my brain because the victories I've had during this playoff season have also been pretty lucky. So I'm pretty much fade material at this point, but I do like the games tonight so I thought I'd post for anyone who might want to cross reference against other handicappers on the site. Many of these games have been close and a couple of tonight will be.
It's a shame that Damian Lillard got hurt or else we might be looking at a more exciting series. Not sure how the Pistons come back from that non-foul call either. Here is what I am playing. They took the pin out of my hand yesterday, so let's see how these go:
OVER 215 (DET/NYK)...BIG PLAY!!!: desperation time for the Pistons and that means if the game is close, they will be foul like crazy at the end of it. I happen to expect the Knicks to win, but these games have been close and the five points seem like it could come into a question. Haven't been that great with the totals in the playoffs, but I really like this play so I'm bumping it to a big play.
ORLANDO (+12): Just too many points and I'd even welcome a back door cover. Maybe the Magic get blown out but I think they have enough pieces to get the cover given the familiarity they have with the Celtics.
LAC ML (-135)...BIG PLAY!!!: this has worked for me in the past and I'm hoping it will work again tonight. The game line is -1.5 and the money line is -135. Usually when it's slightly more expensive to take the money line, the favorite wins outright. Given how close all of these games have been and the stakes in this affair, I like my chances, just taking the better team and the one that has a coach. Should it again be tight down the stretch.
The marbles are on the table, so let's see how we roll. Would be great to get the sweep and pick up some units for the week. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all.
