If you've followed me over the years, you probably know that I'm not real fond of betting on games deep in the playoffs. It's like splitting hairs and there's really not much value to be had. I'd much rather break down a full card and find the best value play. With that being said, Game 6 is no different. A case could be made for betting either of these teams, however, I'm rolling with OKC. The Thunder have the ability to blowout Indy on any given day. The Pacers don't have that ability. Many of the betting public are thinking the Pacers have their back to the wall, Haliburton had a bad game, they should come out with a high level of motivation. On the flip side, OKC hasn't played great at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and one might think they want to "win it all" in front of their home fans. That's not quite the way it works either. Oklahoma City is laying a big number here. They're the better team. Fishy lines equal fishy results. I think they bury the Pacers tonight. Lastly, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but if you look at Mathurin's play over the past couple games, he single-handedly sank Indy's chances of covering the spread. It could be a matchup issue, but he even missed a bunch of free throws, a spot where he's usually money. I want no part of that stink!
Good Luck!
