Mr. BATOR - Miami SU or Denver in a BLOWOUT?

Well it’s going under.

so if the heat don’t cover that’s Denver + Under all 4 games they won, and 4 out of 5 games in the series. 

Playoff Jimmy needs to be renamed Eastern Conference Playoffs Jimmy.

As bad as the Nuggets have been (a choking 9-19 at the line), the Heat are shooting 35% and will lose a very winnable game.

Jimmy choked. It’s over.

I don’t regret not betting on the Nuggets at halftime. They could’ve been (and should’ve been) had tonight but Jimmy Butler sank to a new low. His reputation is permanently changed, permanently diminished. In his only NBA Finals appearance he revealed that the stage was too big for him.

How badly did the wilting Heat shoot in this game? Well, the Nuggets missed 23 out of 28 three-point shots (which is horrible), they committed 15 turnovers to only 8 by the Heat, and they missed 10 of 23 free throws (which is horrible!) while the Heat missed only 2 of 16.

The Nuggets made ALL those mistakes and still won the game. THAT’s how badly the Heat shot the basketball tonight, a completely pitiful 34.4%.

It’s both weird and kind of a shame that in their biggest win of all-time, the Nuggets played so badly. Was there another game this season where they played this badly and won anyway? I doubt it.

Gabe Vincent was worse than Choking Jimmy. In Vincent’s 22 seriously damaging minutes on the floor, he managed to help himself to 13 shots and made only 3 of them. He missed all of his threes including a huge one from the corner with 1:13 left that could’ve given the Heat a 92-90 lead. But he missed it because he sucks. He also grabbed zero rebounds and recorded a team worst plus/minus of -14.

Gabe Vincent, you fucking BLOW. You cost me my Nuggets in 6 prop, you scum.

That’s how absurdly outmatched the Heat were in this series from a purely physical standpoint. Miami was starting 3 backups on almost every other team in the league. They were lucky to win one game. 

That Denver played about as abysmally as they possibly could and still won tells you everything you need to know. 

And Jimmy Butler is a warrior poet. He gave them everything he had. He’s been playing on a bum ankle for two weeks and nearly brought them to within inches of winning. Sorry you lost your Denver in 6 bet, but the blame doesn’t fall on Butler. The Heat overachieved and went on one of the great underdog runs in NBA history — in the end they were just outmanned and outmatched. 

I went through all Denver's games this season. The majority of the games the close games they won, they won by 9, 4 or 5. This was no different. They were just doing what they did all season. 

May we never have to watch a 44-win team in the Finals ever again.

Jimmy Butler cannot be criticized enough for coming up so small in the final minute. You can’t gag any harder than he did when he PASSED THE BALL to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with 27 seconds left. Then on the Heat’s next possession, he attempted that hugely idiotic turnaround 3-pointer that had virtually no chance of going in. The shot bricked hard off the backboard and rim.

This game was there for the taking but Jimmy Butler was not the man to complete the job. The more I think about this game the more I realize how lucky the Nuggets are to be celebrating tonight. 

In the thread I created I stated these facts before the game that this happened twice before on the series where Denver shot poorly and still won the game.  They did it again tonight.  Heat had no one that wanted to take over the game.  No one.  Even Jimmy was giving up the ball.  Granted he had Jokic closing in on him under the basket but find a foul going hard to the hole or pull up and hit a jumper.  Just nothing.

I’ve been going on about fraudulent Jimmy the entire Finals. He choked terribly. Hitting back to back threes was a miracle. 

The weird thing about this playoffs is that the Nuggets won so many games when they played awful for 3 quarters.. They just kept doing what it takes in the 4th to run away from everyone

I think that was Christian Braun who missed those two free throws. Nothing says “We’re scared to win a big game at home” like missing a whole bunch of free throws. The Nuggets were 13 of 23 from the line.

None of y’all remember the 2020 finals?? Jimmy choked then too. Miami is a glorified LA Fitness team. 

everyone including and especially the media gave them some weird love come the Finals.. They all kept picking them to win Games this series and the reality is the one they won they shot like fucking 50+ % from 3 in both halves.. and the most lucky 4th quarter of shooting to top it all off. They could never beat this Denver team, they kept getting the underdog favorable whistle throughout the last 4 games consistently every time they got down they just shoved them back in it with the whistle.
