As I was
watching a Clippers game a little while back, Mike Smith and Ralph Lawler went
into a lengthy discussion about how the Clippers can never quite seem to get
over the hump. To see if there was any
credence to this theory, I went back and examined the Clippers season and found
some rather interesting and alarming information. Seven times this season the Clippers have had
the opportunity to reach the elusive .500 mark or to get within a game of it. Here’s what’s happened in those seven games:
Game #1:
Clippers enter with a 2-4
record
Sat, Nov 7 Memphis W 113-110
(-4) , win but no cover
Game #2:
Clippers enter with a 3-4
record
Mon, Nov 9 New Orleans L 84-112 (+2) ,
loss and no cover
