im still baffled at the fact that the ultimate "team" brought in iverson.. i am still dumb founded about that, you take a team that was never high scoring to begin with and take way all the chemistry, and this is what you get....

Dumars made a miscalculation in hiring Curry instead of a strong personality able to assert himself amongst a group of veterans; he's bravely attempted to reload a la San Antonio, who have been nurturing the likes of Udoka, George Hill, and even Matt Bonner - all the while maintaining an air of excellence as their big 3 (Parker/Ginobili/Duncan) age. Dumars has tried a similar approach by bringing in Stuckey and promoting youngsters such as Maxiell and Johnson - however, they're still not battle-tested and starters by nature - i.e. not ready to assume the roles held by Wallace, Hamilton, Prince, etc.
It's not an exact science and Dumars has been known to make a mistake or 2 in the past - Darko, for instance - and by neither committing to a full rebuild nor staying with the core that won a championship, the Pistons are now stuck in a very directionless transition stuck between the 2 halves (Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili all realize that the team is ultimately bigger than them and understand that the future awaits as they move forward; this lack of foresight in Detroit is puzzling given that none of the players are SUPERstars in their own right and it was the collective team identity that availed them their championship a few years back). Makes you harbor even more respect for how San Antonio goes about its business.

RIP Hamilton is averaging 25 minutes since the demotion.......Are you kidding me? If you want to stat Stuckey.......I understand. AI is not a PG. But starting Johnson? Move Prince to the 4. Hamilton is the best player on the team. Even if you need points from the bench..............Hamilton needs more minutes. PERIOD. The Pistons play with no passion. No intensity. I said in a previous thread.......They have been an automatic fade. Things are just going to get worse. Get ready for a mutiny.
