Being a lakers die hard, I have a tendency to waive off the Clipper’s recent success out of spite. The truth is, this is the deepest team in the league, they can beat you with their first or second squad. Basically they can get production out of 12/13 players, not many teams can say that. They also have great chemistry, very important for those back to back road games knowing you got people always ready to step up FOR you.
There recent slide was a direct result of injuries (and perhaps a mid season hangover), but most importantly, without CP3, their offense stagnated. A key piece of this stagnation happened when Caron Butler became a ball stopper. This offense relies on ball movement, quick outlets, fast paced transitional offense. It sputters otherwise as they do not have guys that can create on ISO’s, even Griffin has a very limited arsenal playing like this.
With team back at full force now in their 3rd game at FULL FORCE. CP3 back at the helm doing what he does best being the floor general. The team today wraps up the grammy road trip (longest of the year) with a chance to go 4/4 despite all the injuries and setbacks. This is a crucial number for them mentally, it is being emphasized in the locker room heavily (as per beat writers and bloggers locally in LA). They face a 76ers team reeling with setbacks themselves. I cannot emphasis how much of a difference losing Thad Young is. He is like their glue on offense. Also the 76ers lack a 3 pt threat (meeks was big for them last year). This is one big clipper weakness, guarding the 3. Also the Off/def efficiency stats between both teams show a big discrepancy. (105/99 clips, phi 98/101 Phil). This is a key stat for me as it tells me what teams tend to do per 100 possessions. The 76ers are coming off a win against the Bobcats who shot 30%, no joke, 30%, my high school team can beat them shooting at that clip, the clippers, on the other hand will run and gun them and run away with this, will be a tough night for Spencer Hawes guarding the paint.
With Caron just ruled out for tonights game, I like the clips to LA on a good note with some tough games coming up in the next 4.
Ive got this local at -4 Clips and I could not pass on this GREAT value.

Frank you are right he became spotty, but still he was one of their two best long range shooters padt two years (almost 40 percent from triple). Today, one for 6 from 3pt will not get it done. Unless you are OKC, you HAVE to beat the clippers from the perimiter which they are horrible at defending. The sixers are playing to the clips strengths and not their weakness and this game is just about cooked.
