$29,000 bet. help with hedge advice.

I have a $10 to $29,000 bet on Celtics in 7 parlayed with Nuggets in 7. 

whats the optimal hedge?

assume i’m willing to spend up to $20k for at least $5k profit. 

Thats a tough one to hedge. hedging 2 different plays in 1 bet

since celtics are the fav in game 7, betting knicks on money line is a no brainer.  Now the hard part is okc is probably gonna be a 9 or 10 point favorite, so their money is gonna be 450-550.  So you will need to lay alot of money on okc.

Heres the problem if denver wins and boston loses, you will lose the 10 dollar parlay, but you will lose that big bet on okc on the moneyline.

Now if boston wins and ok city wins, then you break even on those bets and only lose the 10 dollar parlay.

Only way you can truly profit from this is if both teams hit for the parlay or if both teams that you bet for the hedge win. 

Personally i think you will just have to let it ride out and hope lady luck is on your side.  Also maybe you can try one of those services where others buy bets from bettors.  Maybe somebody will offer you a couple thousand.

so i’m live betting for the hedge and hoping for a good spot. Celtics will 100%. have a lead at some point game 6 so knicks +200 or better is getting a big bet (maybe just $500, not a full hedge sadly).

I dont have much hope for game 7 Denver even taking a lead, but crazy things can happen. Live betting OKC if that happens too +200 or better. 

Then if the parlay is still kicking then Knicks game 7 is getting a big $10k bet.

Exactly  That 10 parlay could endup turning into thousands of dollars in losses.

He should try to sell it to someone on those sites where you can sell your bets. Might get lucky there

NO you cant.  He could end up losing thousands trying to do it.  Better off letting bet ride out.  Boston is a small favorite which is good, but okc being a minus 500 favorite totally blows up the whole hedge.  Its all in the numbers.  Hes trying to hedge 2 entirely different bets at the same time.

I still say he should tell the ticket

And game 7 of den okc game.

2. What’s the limit $ throwing another parlay?  Feel me ?  Hint there a Parlay 

Then we can construct. For now i say he can.  

i got min 4-1 and indy 4-1 (when it was +400 and +1100) the parlay is $29k full profit. 

SO i looked at my other futures bets and i do have $3.5k profit future bet on okc4 and boston4.

i should just focus on Knicks?

It’s impossible from where we’re at to lock up thousands from it. If it was my ticket I would look to get Knicks at plus money and put maybe 500 on it. If they win you get something and if they lose you take OKC for something like 2.9k to win 1k. -290 publicly available at the time of my post. If this second hedge loses you’ve only spent around 3500 and can now unload a true hedge on the Knicks at around +170 in game 7 for 8-10k and lock up a big win.

Need to let it ride till Boston goes to game 7 and hope Denver beats Okc game 7 than you can hedged Knicks on game 7 otherwise you risk losing money if you hedge Okc game 7 with large juice. Can live bet Okc if Denver is up at halftime.

 thanks a bunch. i’ll likely be doing this. it just sucks i cant really lock anything up just yet without going overboard. 

is this another parlay? Okc and bos to win series? Whats the risk?

 Been crunching numbers too but it will be a lot of risked, and lot of money to lock it up at the same time.  i was able to get a sure $1,000 plus profit having a 3 sets of parlay involving nyk, aint worth it, and i think it’s not possible if you got limited books. Maybe il try again later. Yes gets you overboard. Lol. 

now if you got okc nyk parlayed already, a 3.5k win? I think you are in a very good position to come up with something now.

Thats my problem right there while i crunch the numbers parlaying okc gm7 and nyk series ate lots of the $. Got curious too. I think you’l be in a very good position after gm6 anyway. Maybe later il try again.

My mistake, i thought both games were playing a game 7 but since boston game is game 6, he does have a chance to hedge. But its gonna be tough and you will have to work out the numbers, cause remember he might have to make 3 hedges to finish out the bet.  Right now he would need to bet knicks --145 and then okc at -300.  Then boston will be favorite for game 7.  I might just bet 500 bucks on knicks and hope it loses, then you only have 2 games to hedge.  then bet something on okc -300 and if that loses, all he needs to do is hedge big on knicks a dog for game 7

 Yeah i got a headache too crunching the numbers. And line keeps moving while i do it. For now i cant register what’s the benefits parlaying exclusively nyk gm6. 3 sets all involving nyk. Nyk okc nyk den and bos okc. 

so far tried nyk series. I tried the gm6 too actually but that will still leave a game 7 if bos wins. Il give it a shot again later.

but all in all aint worth it as he will be risking a lot on parlaying okc nyk series, the main thing that ate those $. The other 2 parlays is besutiful! One needs 3 at the same time with this kind of problem.

But on papers it can be done gettin out with $.  But not a $5,000 sure profit. So… you are correct too. Ok maybe later
