Rays are still feeling embarrassed after getting swept not long ago by the lowly White Sox in Chicago. The 8-2 win last night was the "opening" statement.
Tampa has won 4 in a row, swept the Mets and have scored 7 or more in 3 of those wins, only rookie Christian Scott in his first MLB appearance shut them down down in a 3-1 Mets loss. Mets fans should feel good about him, I know it's only one game but I was impressed, he's going to be a good pitcher for them, his future is bright. But I digress -
Looks like the slumping bats of AL batting champion Yandy Diaz and Randy Arozarena have finally begun to wake up. Add in the return of LH hitting Josh Lowe and his productive bat and new Tampa Bay Ray and former Dodger, CF Jonny DeLuca, 10 RBI's in 15 ABs already and suddenly the Rays offense is looking much different.
Now they get Soroka, who in 33 IP has 19 walks, 1.62 WHIP, and given up 7 HRs already, a Sox BP that has struggled, and it's another good opportunity for the Rays to continue with a little vengeance at the Trop.
Eflin struggled at Chicago in a 9-4 loss and while he's been inconsistent he can still be close to shut down good and give them 6 or more strong innings. Cleavinger and Jason Adam are fresh and available to back him up against a Sox team hitting .206 and averaging a paltry 2.9 rpg. I expect Eflin to pitch well tonight.
I'll back the hot team tonight who is better than they've been the early part of the season, their starting pitching is depleted so not sure how this season will fare for them but these are the games you have to win vs the lower echelon teams. More payback coming tonight -
RAYS -1.5, -120
As always good luck to all!

What's up Jake, hope all is well. Summer has arrived here huh, just a bit hot and humid already. Disappointed about the Bolts but not surprised, Panthers are good. I have the Panthers @ +450 to win the Cup but after that ass whooping Boston put on them last night, not feeling Soo good, what are you going to do, it's gambling.

Soroka continues to throw balls, 3 walks and 48 pitches through 2 innings. You want to drive your manager crazy, only banging his teenage daughter is worse.
