Years ago i ran a contest in a baseball sports forum. The point was to get people to start focusing on less quantity and a higher quality selection to wager on. The goal was to gain a 10 percent increase in your bankroll each month. Initially most thought or said that it was not possible but by the end of the second month nearly everyone was doing it with there own picks.
Sport 01K approach:
Start with $ 200 with a goal of making $ 20 wagering $ 10 per selection never more or never less. (Do not wager to the money line but rather to the starting bankroll) For example not wagering $ 200 on a - 200 money line and $ 130 on a - 130 money line. Always 5 percent of the starting bankroll for the session that you are in.
(1) If you start with the $ 200 and make the 10 percent gain in a month you would have $ 220
(2) depositing another $ 200 you would have $ 420 wagering $ 21 with the same goal in mind, a 10 percent gain ($ 42) ending with $ 462.
(3) depositing another $ 200 you would have $ 662 with a wager of $ 33 and a goal of reaching $ 695 by the end of the session.
If you follow this process for 19 months you would turn $ 3,800 into just over $ 11,000. (sessions 1 - 19)
If now you stop putting money in but did not take money out for the next 21 sessions you would have a balance of $ 81,657. (sessions 20 to 40)
Starting with session 41 you could begin to pay yourself $ 3,000 and increase that by $ 100 each session (session 41 to 83)
At the end of session 83 you would have $ 2,602,114.00 in your bankroll.
Control, Patience and a plan of action can and will get to a better place in life and likely do so with your own picks.

98% of this board is not interested in anything like this. They only care about chasing action on the current television/prime time game. I can't imagine too many of these guys even have $500 to their names
