Sox off B to B wins vs Nats, Rays dropped the series to the Yanks in a 10-5 loss.
Apparently Red Sox garb and Fenway seem to inspire the Rays who are 8-2 last 10 vs BOS and 5-0 last 5 at Fenway but these two have yet to play this season. No love lost between these two division rivals, should be a good series.
Both Eflin and Crawford have pitched well recently so not expecting alot of runs early (5 inning under?) but I like the Rays offensively better now than Boston. Yandy and Randy have begun to hit finally, LH hitter and RF Josh Lowe is back from injury, and I really like this kid DeLuca, he's shown he can play at this level, Jose Siri better look out. And Pete "be careful what youwishfor"Fairbanks is back from injury in the BP for Tampa and pitched a scoreless 9th inning against the Yanks on Saturday. If he's right, he's good, 11 pitches 7 strikes on Saturday but Rays fans have seen the bad Pete too, those baseball "humidors"are a bitch right Pete?
Kenley Jensen just pitched in 3 straight game for Boston, he might get to rest tonight, Rays wouldn't mind that, he's been solid so far, 2.63 ERA.
Even with the series loss to the Yankees, think the Rays are feeling better overall about this team right now, 6-3 last 9, they have some good stix, guys are coming back, Josh Lowe is a really good player for those who aren't familiar with him. They'll need them all against Crawford, Red Sox pitching in general has been outstanding.
Think the Rays bring some fire to Boston where they've been successful. Eflin should be able to keep them in the game long enough for TB to get a big hit or two and find a way to win in Boston, again.I'm on the Homeboyz'-
RAYS +100
As always good luck to all!
