Money grab by him; got no idea on why CWS brings him back other than cost less than any manager at any level who has a pulse & brain.
Does not know new extra rules with players and shrugs it off as no big deal - and he's in the HOF as a manager for what he did, when he had his wits and brain working. Now he is just pimping his past from decades ago and should be taken off the streets.

Are u referring to how we had to have our closer start the 10th at 2nd base lol. I didn't watch any post game but I found that odd we were in that situation. Guessing since u say he didn't know the extra inning rules it pertains to that.

Yes, I believe he did not know the rules, because he said so:
Tony La Russa did not know that he could have used Jose Abreu at second base as the free runner instead of closer Liam Hendriks. Was informed of an amendment to rule by a reporter:
"I'm guessing you know the rules better. Now I know," he said.
No sir Marquee - no lost money here. Figured this one could go either way, no wager for me. This is a comment from the unbiased, no money involved sideline.
Don't know if you like him or not, he was good in the past, this is the present and it is not a good look for him or the team.
Someone needed to be the adult in the room and not let this hire happen. He's gone at year end to not embarrass him or the CWS, should be tomorrow if they want to win.
