Why would you even consider driving to Delaware when you could just head up Caratoke Highway to FLIPPERS in Grandy ?
If you've never been there you need to check it out , it's a very odd and somewhat creepy place.

Oh God no! Do not go one minute out of your way to see Flippers, but it's worth checking out if you are driving by.
Flippers is actually a gas station that serves pizza and sells custom made cornhole games and OBX crap, but it's the closest thing to a casino that Currituck has to offer. It has a HUGE amusement hall that has every type of gaming machine that has ever been invented but their big draw is pinball. They have hundreds of different machines and the locals go their and gamble against each other. When I had stopped by last friday for gas there were signs posted for a big sponsored tournament that was coming up. They actually had a pro class with a $1000 winning payout and a regular class that payed $500. I guess they take pinball pretty serious in Grandy. The draw for me though is the sheer weird/creepy vibe that this place and the people in it give off, it's kinda like when you just have to look at a bad traffic accident. I could only imagine what goes on in there on a Saturday night.
