I am going to fade the public here, and grab Pitt +3.5 (-110). This is not a "high confidence" game, but enough here to throw a unit out there, and possibly look for an entry point live if I like what I am seeing (or to play the o/u).
I like the way Pitt has been playing after a poor start to the season. I really like Ray Graham, although this Pitt team passes a lot more with Tino Suneri and his 65% completions. This Pitt team damn near knocked off ND, in South Bend no less. A fluke? Maybe. Obviously, no one can expect for Pitt to be up for this game like the ND game, which was basically their "Super Bowl."
Another reason that this is a small play is that I just don't know that much about Ole' Miss, so I am just capping them on paper without the "eyeball test." Bo Wallace has had shoulder problems throughout the year, so a big hit or two could tweak that condition.

Funny you should mention that, as I was about to put up a new thread for Pitt backers not to rip that ticket up quite yet.
While Shell only had half the carries of Graham, here are some things to consider:
1) Graham, a senior, would NOT want to get hurt in his last NCAAF game before the NFL draft. Would he have run "balls to the wall anyway?" Shell has a long way to go, and still has a lot to prove. Motivation advantage - Shell.
2) During the season, Graham averaged 4.7 yds a carry. Shell averaged 4.8.
3) Graham averaged 9.4 yards per catch. Shell averaged 11.4 yards a catch. Granted, Graham had 36 catches and Shell only 9, but Shell can catch and run too.
Oh well, we'll find out soon enough. Kick-off in a few. Let's go Pitt!
