SEASON (CFB): 43-27-1 ATS
YTD (BOWLS): 14-7 ATS
It's been a great run both in the regular season as well in bowl season. I am going to post two plays because I strongly like both, not because of anything else. I am not going to read any other threads either. I could have posted the play on the total the moment it was announced b/c I feel so strongly about it.
Hope everyone has had a great season, sorry to see it come to an end. I have had an incredible year and hope to continue in all sports. I'm a bit shocked by some people saying I "toot my own horn" when I post plays, post records, and have a winning % over .500 in every single sport. I'm also human, so I'm not perfect and never will claim to be. But I put in a LOT of research before scripting a single word in these forums and have immense respect for other handicappers as well. I don't think I need to give an explanation but I will keep providing plays and only encourage everyone to assess those sides on your own, at least for 2 minutes lol.
TCU (+13.5): Really still considering paying the price and buying up to 14 but I really think TCU covers this spread. Simple fact is they never give up and the Georgia defense, while extremely good, does give up points. In fact, since OSU played both Georgia and Michigan, and put up points on both, I can argue TCU should be able to do the same having scored generously on Michigan. I expect them to get at least 28 points and that would mean Georgia needs to lay 42, which they of course could. But if that happens that would get the over easily to hit, which I also like, and I feel there is a greater chance TCU puts up into the 30's forcing Georgia to keep pushing in order to get the title. And we all know how hard it is to win back to back titles.
OVER 62 (TCU/GEORGIA): For the same reasoning as above, I LOVE this game to go over. One can argue, and I will give validity to it, that teams tend to come out tense versus freely opening up the game in championship affairs. I would agree with that, but I think these two offenses are different. They know the other side will score and, because of this, will want to try and put distance as best they can. Both teams also have strong kicking games. I just think TCU really plays for Sonny Dykes and pushes the envelope in this one. I can't see the TCU defense giving up any less than 30, my numbers are closer to 35, so the money really is on TCU offense to pester the Georgia D, and with a scrambling quarterback and good offensive line, I think Duggan will have time to make the necessary plays.
I can see an explosive second half so didn't want to try and play the total for the first half. Let's try and keep any comments positive. Hope everyone sees the same type of game which, if you do, will be an exciting affair. As always, whatever you decide, tail or fade, good luck to all...
