Week 2 is in the books. Anarchy all over football.
Bama/Texas - It pains me to say this as a Bama fan, but we lost this game. The score does not show it as a loss, but we all watched the same game. Worse officiated game for both teams throughout. PI when there was none, no PI calls when there should have been one, missed holding, roughing the passer/targeting/no safety call. The list goes on. Most penalized team under Saban era and then the players had the audacity to TWICE at the end give the HORNS DOWN signs. Escaped with a W on paper. Bama O-line shows its true colors, Bryce Young did heisman qb stunts in the end, Texas defense showed out, Sark through everything he had at Bama. Ewers potential is amazing. Re-occurring theme here hurting the starter QB in 1st quarter isn't it? Expect Bama to bounce back next week but I fully agree with my RSW bet on bama under 11.5 wins for the year.
Arkansas/SC - high scoring game as though. Arky defense kept bending last week and kept the same theme this week. Offense with KJ Jefferson kept them in the game. Love the arky HC and what he has done with the talent and program. SC still with some work to do but holding their own. Rattler shows glimpses of being a good qb and then lobs an errant pass up that has everyone asking WHY?!
Tenn/Pitt - this game was everything I hoped it would be PLUS a little OT action. Pitt defense did enough to keep them in the game and Tennesee defense keeps bending. Tennessee is a lot of fun to watch this season with the talent they have. This is a team that can upset whoever they want on the right day.
Kentucky/Florida - super fun game to watch. The swap was electric but couldn't get the job done. Everyone is all over Florida QB Richardson but he made several questionable plays and not that accurate. Some are blaming everything on an early injury but I am not buying it. Kentucky came in with a chip on their shoulder being called soft and got it done in the swamp. More college football anarchy.
Wake forest handled Vandy - as many people I knew all over WF, I was beginning to think it was a trap game in some way I have no clue about, but wasnt. Vandy is still Vandy.
Marshall upsets Notre Dame - glad we can get this out of the way early. Sorry Notre Dame fans, but your team has not been on the same level of top 5 and even top 10 competition some years ever since 2012. QB play was sloppy and was the dagger to the heart in the 4th quarter. Better luck next year.
App state upsets Texas AM - did not watch this game, only highlights. I am sure this loss will not go well with how much they are paying Jimbo right now. Upsets happen, but this one hurts.
Washington state comes to Wisconsin and pulls off the upset. Did not watch the game but that was a headline I did not expect.
Houston/Texas Tech - slow start to offense on this game and then in overtime it just started clicking. How about that 4th and 20 conversion to keep the game alive?
USC/Stanford - only partially watched but will look more into it. USC offense looks like it is performing very well overall. Glimpses of hope for the PAC 12 possibly since UTAH took an early L?
BYU/Baylor - OT win for BYU. Turns out there is a reason why they were ranked lower yet favored. BYU gets it done.
