Hear Ye, Hear Ye, your favorite football handicapper is back for the 2013 campaign. We had an impressive Year 1, and look to build on that this football season. Memphis Grinder has been slaving over these first 5 weeks of action, and now feels like he has his hand on the pulse of College Football. Play these selections with ease, and wipe your ass with hundred dollar bills on Saturday night when they conclude.
***** 5 STAR PLAY *****
Iowa -1.5 over Michigan St
As you know last year, Memphis Grinder just poured in winner after winner on these 5 Star Plays. This week we start you out with an easy one. It goes at 11AM on Saturday so you can play this game while you light your grills, and start the day on a positive note. Both of these teams roll into this game with only 1 loss. Michigan St’s loss was to a bad Notre Dame team, and Iowa’s was to the MAC Powerhouse N. Illinois. Although Iowa should have won that game, they have covered the rest of their games with ease. Look for them to take it to the Spartans early, and not let up. They have covered 6 of the last 8 games at home against Mich. State, and that trend doesn’t stop on Saturday. EASY MONEY!!
*** 3 STAR PLAYS ***
NC STATE -9.5 over Wake Forest
I could quote stats on this one all day, but the easy one is this: NC State scores a lot of points, and they have covered every game in 2013. However, Grinder isn’t gonna do you like that. Let’s take a look at WF. The only teams they have beat was Presbyterian (The Religion) and Army. Yup, college football powerhouses. They are not going to know what hit them on Saturday. NC State’s only loss of the year was a close one to Clemson. They will score early and often and run their ATS Record to 4-0 on Saturday.
South Alabama +3.5 at Troy
Big In-State Rivalry game in Alabama this week. Not the Iron Bowl, but this game will draw the attention of at least 5500 Rednecks in Troy this weekend. Troy rolls into this game after 3 straight road losses. They are a pathetic (1-3 ATS) and cannot stop the pass. South Alabama on the other side of the ball loves slinging it around, and score points in bunches. They have covered every game this year, and don’t see it stopping on Saturday. I believe this game comes down to final possession, and the last team with the ball wins. I’ll take the 3.5 points in that situation everytime.
Texas State +11 at UL-Lafayette
Wow Grinder, your digging deep on this one?? Who gives two shits about this pillow fight? Well the answer is Grinder does. This could be the mis-match of the day. If it wasn’t for it being the opening weekend, this would have been my second 5-Star play. How in the world is UL-Lafayette favored in this game?? They have not covered a game all year, and have got steam rolled by powerhouses Arkansas and K State. If you haven’t been paying attention, neither of those teams are worth a shit anymore. Texas State on the other hand is a perfect (3-0 ATS) and beat a red-hot Wyoming team this past weekend. I know it’s very cliché to say it, but The Wrong team is favored here folks. Take the 10.5 points in this one, and break your fucking bookie on Saturday night!
