Play inconsistent sloppy football and should not have won against Georgia Tech.
Lost to Duke at home, give me a break. Duke plays at home the following week against Miami and gets beat. We all know what North Carolina did to Miami.
Tarheels also beat the **** out of Duke no problem.
Let the sharps bet on Va Tech all they want and drive the line down.
UNC is catching fire and are VERY talented on BOTH sides of the ball.
This line is more about respect for Coach Beamer then anything else.
UNC is going to light these guys up, imo this will be a statement game.
DO NOT let fear cause you to miss out.
This line WEIRDNESS reminds me of a month ago when all the "SMART" money was coming in on Central Florida against Houston driving the line from -22 to -19 right before kickoff. I never been so confused in all my life as I had bet LARGE on Houston and couldn't understand wtf was going on. Weirdness made no matter as Houston won 59-10.
Screw the "SMART" money and the Frank Beamer BS. Tarheels are going to cover this spread easily and thats a FACT so bet the game and cash with me.
No reason to fear this group of 2nd rate Hokies, but PLENTY of reasons to fear North Carolina.

UNC has left Chapel Hill three times this year, and the results were two 7-point wins and a terrible loss to South Carolina. UNC has only played two really impressive games (Illinois and Duke) that would make it look like thet should cover this number easily. There's nothing weird about the line.

If you watched the Pitt game in full you would see they comfortably dominated them. It was 20-3 and they just ran the ball a ton in 2nd half to kill clock. It was pretty much a 2+ score game the entire time except for a back door TD late by Pitt to push the line to respectability. You must be a tough judge on impressive wins because they just beat Miami by 38 points also. UNC has way better offensive talent. If Va Tech wins it because their D was their best offense because Michael Brewer is not very good.

You left out a 38 point win vs miami, and the 7 point win vs away team was a month ago at a #23 ranked pitt team.

beamer should have had his last home game 3 years ago, his team sucks, I bet them at GTech but how anyone could back them here at that line is beyond me, playing on emotion can only get you so far, at the end of the day they need Williams to have a terrible game for them to hang, otherwise it's a loss of double digits
if Williams plays well and doesn't turn it over they'll win by 13-17 once the dust settles

Like UNC also. They beat a solid Pitt team on the road which I expected but they showed how talented they really are. VTech gave a good effort last week but that won't be enough w/ this talented UNC team. This was also one of my plays this week.

With you on heals. VA TECH played their hearts out at home last week to beat GTech in Beamers honor. I think people are still ridding the emotional angle and lots of money coming in on VA Tech. UNC isn't as 1 dimensional as GT. Hood is a beast and once they draw the LBs up to try and stack against Hood should open up a lot of play action for those talented WRs of UNC vs soft secondary of Vtech.

Completely agree people ARE riding the emotional angle and it does count for something but its just not enough against this UNC team. Like you said UNC is so strong on offense, too tough a task for this Hokie squad even with the extra effort.
People forget UNC has a lot of emotion riding as well. Big aspirations of getting into the playoff and they certainly have the talent and will want to continue to show it. They will want to make a statement here.

I took it at -6.5 for a unit...then -5.5 for a half unit...now its at -5...
haha ...I kno right......i'd say every time the line goes down....drop another unit on it....the value only gets better....same game same matchup....weird line....obv if not for the Beamer angle this line is not at -5....ill take the extra value and keep betting it....i don't concern myself with line changes anymore ....gotta commit...the guys on the other side sure are...Im all over it

This game has a va tech outright win all over it. I can't believe how many people are just either completely ignoring Beamer's last game or believing it will have little effect against what people now consider an almighty unc team.

I see where you are coming from scal and I respect your situational handicapping ability; however, I truly believe this UNC team rolls on VT from a fundamental standpoint.

UNC is a better all around football team than VT. It's not that close either. They are outmatched plain and simple. VT will fight hard for Beamer, yes I do agree, and that is worth something, BUT I don't see VT capable of winning this football game. UNC wins and I believe they cover.
