Had a pretty powerhouse season last year though I did sputter in the bowls which seem to often times give me issue. There are quite a few games I like this weekend but I don't want to get too excited as we know very little about most of these teams aside from what's "on paper". As we all know, these games aren't played on paper.
As a refresher, all my plays count as ONE unit while BIG PLAYS count for two units or more, you can decide from your own bankroll. But for recording purposes, they (BIG PLAYS) will be a 2 unit win or a 2 unit loss. Lots of people on Rutgers who I really loved but with line movement and public backing like this, I might just lay off. Here is what I am backing today:
OVER 62 (ECU/NCSU): Both of these teams return enough players on offense to see scoring increases in my opinion. ECU quarterback Katin Houser had considerably more success after the HC change last year and I expect him to be able to get the Pirates into the end zone. There is a LOT of bad blood between these teams and the Memphis bowl which they squared off against one another in ended in an all out brawl. So you can also expect some running up of the scoreboard.
WISCONSIN FH (-10.5) -105: I LOVED this at 9.5 and can't help but backing it at 10.5. Miami, OH lost an incredible amount of players and will be outmanned on both sides of the ball. Unless they come out with some undiscovered star, the Badgers defensive line will provide little to no time for the Miami, OH QB to scramble, which he does well. Wisconsin will score at least 14 in the first half and if they can get to 21 I think this is a comfortable cashing situation.
Not sure I will be back tonight but I will be back on tomorrow and throughout the weekend. There are a lot of great handicappers so just be selective in your plays and do your own research. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...
