There are a lot of factors here but the bottom line is Kent St is currently overrated and Kentucky is underrated. I believe the line should be Kentucky by 13-17.
Kent St won their first game vs Towson 41-21 in a game made famous by Andre Parker's muffed punt return the wrong way. Kent St was only favored by 7 to a 1AA team and easily won so they must be better than we thought, right? Well not exactly. Take a look at the box score. They were outgained in total yards(316-267), had less time of possession(32 mins to 28) and had fewer first downs(19-15) The only reason they won is because Towson lost 4 fumbles and threw 2 picks vs 0 turnovers for Kent St. Kent St also had a 98 yard yard kickoff return for a TD and 63 yard touchdown pass. They couldn't consistently move the ball at all and only scored on big plays or when they got great field position off a turnover. I think if these teams played 10 times Kent St might win 6 and keep in mind Towson is 1AA. Most people only see the 20 point win week one and assume they can play.
Kentucky on the other hand clearly was outclassed by Louisville. Teddy Bridgewater is the real deal and made several incredible plays under pressure going 19 for 21 on the day. Kentucky was forced to play from behind and Maxwell Smith attempted 50 passes. They should be able to run the ball against Kent St and hopefully he won't take as many hits dropping back 30-35 times at most. Kentucky knows they aren't likely to win more than 1 game in conference and they need to gain some confidence this week at home by beating up on a mediocre MAC team.

UK's only player that did anything on the ground against UL is out (Coshiq Williams). 3rd string RB will start, and he has a past of fumbling a lot. His backups will all be freshmen.
Just a heads up. Not saying take the points or anything. Just trying to help.

Ugh I knew Josh Clemons would not be playing again but didn't expect Coshik Williams to be out as well. Definitely a blow to the rush attack and that explains the move to -6.5. Thanks for the info.
I think Raymond Sanders is a capable back but you are right he has put the ball on the ground his fair share of times (including once last week). Junior Jonathan George will get some carries but I'm really hoping this opens the door for freshman Dyshawn Mobley. He set a Tennessee high school record last year with something like 50 TDs and will be a nice change of pace back to complement Sanders.
Might not be the 17 point win I expected but still like them to cover. BOL if you are already on board with me.
