Probably more of a fade on Washington than a play on Minnesota, but there are some things to like with Minnesota here. First and foremost, Minnesota has only lost one non-conference game on the year and it came against a team that plays a similar style to some teams in the B-10 in Dayton. So the style that Minnesota goes into tonight is something that is going to benefit their offense. If you’ve seen them play as of late, they’ve pushed the pace once they got out of the conference. More importantly, the guard pressure that Tubby uses really puts pressure on the Washington offense to score when they’re in the half court. I don’t think there will be many half court opportunities, as I’m expecting a fairly up and down and fast paced ball game. Tubby’s going to run b/c he has sort of taken the “run-to-score” approach lately, and the only slow ballgame they’ve played lately came against the Miami FL team that I have commented on where they (Miami FL) just didn’t show up. Now, as for Washington, they’ve been atrocious on the road (and have now played 3 straight home games), no hiding that, and MSG isn’t all the best spot for a jump shooting team like Washington that doesn’t attack. Along those same lines, Washington’s had a full week off. Am I expecting something different? No. They play one style and one style only. Minnesota on the other hand, has had a tendency to switch things up with some time off, so that’s an added bonus. Along those same lines again, Washington’s coming off a game where they got the revenge they wanted, even though they didn’t cover the number with that absurd tip-in at the end, a win is a win in their eyes and now they come across country here. Really, this is just a game of organized versus un-organized. Not sure if I can word it any other way.
Would probably point Umass and going to lean to the Over in the other game. Wanted to play the over, I still think it holds value with the recent move, I'm just a tad bit scared of a drop in Stanford's offensive efficiency going against pressure here and some time off after just putting up some absurd PPP numbers against defensive teams who utilize no pressure (as I pointed out w/ ISU and Nevada). Going from no-pressure to pressure of Umass scares the piss out of me, but that game's pace is probably going to go above 70+ possessions, might even go higher if Umass can control the pace.

Agree on analysis, especially on Tubby's use of guard pressure. I like overs a little more than the side, but on same page. Curious as to why the Umass total is only a lean. Loved Riccio's analysis (specifically that MSG won't affect Stanford as much since they've played twice and shown they can score >= their average) ...I'm wondering what kept you from playing it?

What the hell am I going to do when this season is over? If I give you my phone number can you call me once a week to reassure me? All kidding aside, thanks for a great season pal. Good luck

wow..you got the worst line possible......thats why its important to have more than one book....
he's prob like me and uses locals, and they don't offer games at a Pick'em. Like last nights minn game was -1/-1, which means both teams were -1, depending on who you pick, sucks, but that's how both of my locals do it.
