GL TODAY nropp. i'm wondering why kstate practices so hard on the day of a game? Full scrimmage? no wonder they can't hit free throws.or shots. they are exhausted.maybe frank is getting them in shape for the tourney but you have to get there first
You'd be surprised how many teams do this. Maybe not balls out, but it's getting "over the top".

one of the first times I'm against ya this year with Dayton-Richmond.
I agree with your under lean, but I'm confused about your perception of the UR defense because we're going to see a ton of zone considering how poor UD is at shooting the 3 when it's not Paul Williams.
Can't wait for tOSU-Purdue as I think both are title contenders and the points seem high, but I don't like Purdue's matchups here enough to play them
I'm impressed with Richmond's zone. Sort of a 3-2, almost seems like a 1-2-2 at times. Other times it seems like a man-to-man. Just really confusing to tell what they're running with all the switching that takes place. I'm not expecting much outside shooting, anything added in is a bonus. To beat teams like Richmond or Syracuse who bring in this type of zone, I'd rather have teams who attack, especially against those teams who'll go off into man-to-man principles and switch everything. Getting good outside shots off on these zones is the hardest part, but as long as you have a few who attack, then it opens it up a bit. Dayton has enough experience against it to do so (hopefully).

NRopp, was wondering what is your input on V Tech ~3.5 and the Over 127 in the UNLV/Wyoming game ? Your input is greatly appreciated...
I liked Virginia Tech, but I thought they'd be an underdog. Georgia Tech is a different team at home. Saw no value in laying chalk there.
Point UNLV under. If UNLV's defense continues to show up, Wyoming's offensive output will be minimal. More worried about the UNLV offense going off than anything, didn't want to risk it.

James Madison can’t get rid of the Hofstra curse, they sort of gave
that game away. Hopefully these two meet up in the conference
tournament.
I was there NR! Here are some thoughts and notes.
Truly unbelievable how JMU didn't cover. After falling behind 7-0, they domianted the final 15 minutes of the first half and were up 41-28 at half. They were up 15 midway through the 2nd half and up 11 with just over 5 to go and by I believe 7 with 2 and change to go.
Charles Jenkins is the absolute real deal. He's an NBA player. Anytime he wanted to get to the basket, he did and several other players are really beginning to step up for Hofstra. Jenkins had 35 points and on a very economical 19 shots and continues to be one of the leaders in the country in points per shot.
Bowels is the best big man in the conference and has great talent for JMU but does not have the best motor on the court. If he had the tenacity of a Charles Barkely, Charles Oakley or Ben Wallace, he would be an absolute NBA superstar, but it almost looks like he is on auto-pilot out there at times yet still put up 27 and 11. He could also use a bit better definition on his body. Not the most muscular big guy I've seen, but he is damn talented.
Hofstra's weakness is their frontcourt. Outside of Washington who is 6'9" and 220 pounds soaking wet, they have no muscle. That is why ODU manhandled them on the glass, outrebounding the Pride by 24 rebounds in one game earlier this year.
Hofstra is NOWHERE near as good as their 8-1 record shows but they are beginning to gain some confidence. It was a huge win for them yet surprisingly, their arena is way more than half empty.
Every Hofstra game I have seen this year, they come out of the gates strong, hit a huge lull around the 8-12 minute mark and make a nice run in the final 10 minutes. It got them over the top this time.
JMU had every chance to cover. Not sure what they were thinking. They were tied and had the last possession of regulation and did not get the ball into the low block to Bowles and their guard lost the ball with 4 seconds left.
Then in overtime, they made a good comeback and after being down 7, they were down 1 with 20 seconds left and the ball and called time out. They ran down the clock to about 6 seconds left and never threw the ball into Bowels again (and Washington had already fouled out for Hofstra) and the Russian kid for JMU drove to the basket and threw up an off balance runner that had no chance. JMU fouled with 3.9 seconds left and sent a kid to the line who hadn't scored a point all game. He calmly drained both putting Hofstra up 3. JMU called timeout, threw a long entry pass 3/4's of the length of the court and Hofstra immediately fouled with 2.9 seconds left. He calmly hit the first cutting it to 2, did a great job missing the second, Bowles grabbed the rebound but brought the ball down below his knees before trying to go up and the game ended in a rugby scrum on the floor without a final shot.
It had to be a long bus trip home for JMU.
Appreciate it Game. Can you give me any insight on Creighton for Wednesday if you have time? Lawson coming off the bench now? Is McDermott trying to look for more offense, or is the bigger picture the Wragge injury?
I know McDermott is known for developing little or no bench, so these things are scaring me. The defense is as good as any, yet he's pushing for more offense (I have Ashford pegged as their best defensive guard and he's getting no minutes). Silver lining his kid?
I'm just so puzzled how you can take a preseason player of the year in the conference and put him on the bench?
Building for the future? Sorry for the questions, I know you've commented on them before which is why I'm asking. I wouldn't mind pointing both of UNI's next two games to the under, just need to get the best defensive team out there for at least once this year.

i'm only on seton hall so far, gonna look hard at your kansas over,,,
I may not have the balls to play a buffalo under, but i do see some value in Buffalo ML, but as road chalk i see why you took the under instead.
I like Florida, do you think there is value added into the line for Florida? Do you think the line would be different if they had beaten So Car and played a better game against Auburn?
I just dont like the 2.5 i was hoping for 3.5, 4
Stayed away from Florida. Definitely lean that way, but if I have this game pointing over, then my risk/reward of the difference between 2.5 or 3.5 or 4.5 doesn't really hold value. I could be wrong, I just think this spot has some value for some points scored.

It's been said before... tail at your own risk. Neil is a solid capper and very knowledgeable just in a cold streak right now. Wait until he heats up again and then jump back on.
