3-0 yesterday in what was a WILD day, with some crazy line movements, comebacks, covers that weren't covers, but became covers, etc. Those days usually don't go my way, so I'm thrilled today.
VCU -3.5
I'll start with, this line smells like trap-city. VCU has to come here to play the Billikens (a game I will be attending) next, so it could be a look ahead spot, but does Davidson even have the athletic talent outside of Loyer and Mennenga, to stay in this game long term? I don't think so. Only averaging 63 ppg in their last five, while VCU has held their last 5 to under 60! Coach Rhoades has a good thing going in Richmond, and that tenacious D (7th best TO%) makes the quick trip down to Davidson and takes care of business, setting the table for a doozy at Chafietz Arena Saturday with SLU.
Arkansas -3.5
Texas A&M is a lot of peoples "darling" right now, as they have won 9 of 10 with the lone blemish @ Rupp. And they do look much better than earlier in the year. But it seems like smoke and mirrors. Wins over Vandy, LSU, South Carolina don't impress anyone, and Auburn doesn't hold the same stock for me as they do for most. Walton Arena is top 10 toughest places to play, and A&M gives Arkansas plenty of trips to the foul line for freebies.
Toledo/Miami OH Over 159
Toledo is putting up 87 ppg in their last 5 and I do not expect that to slow down tonight. Red Hawks aren't gonna blow anyone away with their transition game, but they don't walk the ball up the court either. Better news, they don't guard anyone. MAC games are usually fun to watch, this one shouldn't be any different.
Miami FL -3.5
The Canes finally return home from a 3 game road trip, in which they dropped 2, so some home cookin should be in order. Hokies have big brother on deck, which is never good. Two completely different game plans getting ready for Miami and then Virginia. The guards of Miami are too talented. Va Tech yet to get a W on the road this year.
