Was fading Mississippi State during the final weeks and I'm happy to do it again. These guys quit a couple weeks ago, and I don't see them putting in the effort that it takes to beat down a firecracker team like UMass.

I'm really.glad to see that we have the exact same leans right now! Well minus Manhattan...haven't looked there. Really think cal will beat usf by 8
Jshep --- i like uconn as well...literally overflowing with talent...but like the xaviers, pitts, and floridas of the world, it's just a mystery of which team is going to show up and whether they're capable of playing a full 40 minute game. just safer for me to avoid the play all together and maybe just make a 2h play if anything

very very true. if they come out and play like they did first 2 rounds of the BET...could easily win this game. 2h is def a possibility. hoping Florida comes out this game because i HATE UVA. looks like we have a similar card so hope it hits BOL

would really like to hear your thoughts on these 2 games.
thanks bol
Generally not a big fan of WVU basketball; they're a team that is way too reliant on Jones/Bryant, full of poor decision makers, and unable to close out a game (7 of 10 losses against BE teams by 7 or less points). They're not very deep, they can't shoot threes or free throws, and I don't think Huggy Bear likes this crew very much.
After you get past that though...they're a very physical team with guys who have been here before and they know to manufacture points in a variety of ways. This is essentially a home game for them, and awful draw for Gonzaga; WVU fans travel extremely well, and this will be played about 90 minutes from the university. I guess they don't even need fans to come from anywhere other than the school, since there are 20,000+ undegrads alone who will likely be getting shuttled to this game and going buck wild.
Gonzaga is a small, private, christian school in Spokane, Washington; their only trips to the east coast all season came @ Xavier after the brawl and @ Illinois (I guess that's east coast? was a loss anyway). The WCC is a cute conference and all, but there's no way it matches up with the BE and this is going to be a very hostile environment for them. Their best player is a freshman this year...their #1 and #4 scorers are both freshman, and their #5 scorer is a sophomore. They only have 1 senior on the entire roster who sees minutes, and they get little contribution from their bench.
WVU's been disappointing for a full 40 minutes, but they have the best offensive rebounder in the country and they are gritty and tough. Again, going to be an extremely hostile environment for Gonzaga, I don't like them in this spot.

I also hate UVA. But Florida is really, really dumb. I think Florida will win, but I can't justify laying 3.5 considering UVA has played 11 of their 17 conference games within 4 or less points.
