Too good to be true? Or just a case of short-term memory? I thought it would be <3pts, but it's Christmas in April (why not, still have some snow on the ground in Denver)
SPURS:
-riding a 3-game Win streak since the 'event'
-had no POP to coach em, and no one does it better
-held to 31 shots made, which is unheard of. I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say that the moment their coach gets tossed, the team says WTF-ever and half-asses it. Don't even remember at what point the starters got pulled, so who cares about the ATS margin
-didn't cover the last game, but c'mon it's to the Mavs...Dirk's final...he's being spoon-fed the last two games and playing all 4 qrtrs. Didn't have to do much to 'hold' them to 37 shots made, which many came in garbage time too.
NUGGS:
-riding a 3-game crap streak since the 'event' (can't call the last one a loss, though you were trailing to a team without their star and barely get the W)
-similar to their last against the Mavs (yes, using as a comparison, lol) they win on a last second shot (adding that in THAT game, Joker scored his first basket with 6 and change LEFT to play! Luca was a GTD, and was noticeably limping throughout and holding his wrist at times, and Dirk also took his exit in the 3rd). I was there, ok. Mavs got to town the same day as the game and came out like an MMA fighter.
-have 5 of their most recent games where they were held to 30-something shots made
-also lose by nearly 40 to Indy as the fave
just some points to make MY case, but I know some of you could have gone without it or still feel like the other side is the bet. Spurs thought their streak of playoff appearances was as good as toast when Murray gets hurt...but here they are, and against a team that is just now getting back into the playoffs. as always, BOL whatever you decide.
