There is no denying that there is a huge edge on the sidelines for Sparty, and basketball ‘experts’ are foaming at the possibility of a Duke-MSU Elite 8 game on Saturday. I’m not saying that won’t haplen, but 6.5 points to arguably the most athleticly gifted team in the field, to me, seems too much. Where I see Sparty getting exposed? On the glass. LSU ranks 4th in offensive rebounding and the more work that is required of the Sparty bigs on defense the less production they will provide on the other side of the floor. In MSUs six losses this season, they lost the offensive rebound battle in five of them. But LSU is more than bigs on pogo sticks, their backcourt is better than Michigan State’s. Sure Cassius Winston has been great this season, but, again, the more work required on defense, the less that shows up on offense. This isn’t Bradley, this isn’t even most of the Big10. LSU is the most physically gifted and athletic team Sparty will have seen al season. And the Tigers have seen structure and pedigree this season and won. They only have one loss this season by more than six points and that was a loss to Oklahoma State who shot nearly 60# from the field, 50% from three and 80% from the line

I couldn’t agree more. I love this play. I got it at +6.5 today too!
LSUs depth is another thing that will hurt a short handed Michigan State team. LSU legitimately plays 8 players, and all 8 of them are starter quality players.
Lsu will pound the paint, and if Michigan State gets in foul trouble they will be doomed and LSU will win this one straight up.

I like LSU but only in the first half. Tom Will make adjustments if down at half . Just don’t trust the LSU coach to make the proper decisions down the stretch.

Greg - thanks, lean over as well but might have missed value in the number
Mackey - fair point, but I see some positives in having a guy whose been there all season that hasn’t broken the rules. I think the players feel some relief from that as well
