MOD ALERT: “Dave The Stalker” is at it again. Do you have an alarm that goes off when I post or just such a pathetic life that you have nothing else to do but search for them. Like I told you before, Skippy, my wife knows more about MLB than you do.

While we are at it, how about a tip of the old fedora to Rod Carew, the greatest bunter of all time? He was a threat to bunt for a hit at any time, and a sure-fire squeeze bunt guy. They went suicide squeeze on his bunts because he was sure to get it down. The squeeze play is almost forgotten, and the kids around here probably never heard of the suicide squeeze.

Williams .406 was 1941, before even I was born, 77 years ago.
Sac; the suicide squeeze made it impossible for even the pitcher to get the guy at home, unless it was bunted hard, and right back at him. With the runner coming full speed on the pitch if the ball got down in fair territory there was no defense for it. The pop-up and foul ball were all that could stop it.

FWIW
i love baseball and echo many of the sentiments expressed
however
not quite the fan of the bunt that u people are
perhaps it is because i am a diehard white sox fan
if u want to see bunts and squeezes
we do them every freaking game
as soon as a man is on base
we laugh that its time for the ricky bunt
our manager ricky renteria loves to bunt
any time
any situation
now granted our rebuild features many sub 600 OPS types and runs can b scarce once u get past abreu
but if u truly want to see bunts and squeezes
all u have to do is tune into a white sox game
love your post sac
great dialogue!
have a blessed 4th everyone
