J.R was very blunt about what it is to be Lebron’s supporting cast. Cavs win, all praise to LBJ. Cavs lose, Lebron’s got no help. There’s no doubting his talent (probably the best we’ve ever seen all around) but body language tells a lot about leadership as wel, which is something Lebron can attempt to do better because “I don’t throw my teammates under the bus” is completely false. It ain’t easy playing alongside Lebron, just ask Kyrie.

the thing youre ignoring though is that in the finals he has competed against ENTIRE TEAMS that consistently make the right basketball play in san antonio and the warriors, plus their supplementary players were either better or simply showed up more than lebrons did in the finals...once again folks seem to have great trouble distinguishing between team and individual, what do you expect to win out,ONE great player always making great, smart plays to decent team-mates??or a whole team of guys doing that same thing??
come on,seriously its absolutely moronic to suggest that lebron might make his team-mates worse, dude is basically one of the smartest, most cerebral, unselfish player in the history of the game (on the court,i know his personality is less than ideal in many aspects off the court).and alot of the guys that played with him and never even come close to sniffing the finals once they have gone on to other teams........a better question to ask would be how bad would they all be without lebron on their side??and please, please dont quote me nance/clarkson/hood meaningless regular season numbers playing for garbage teams in games of no consequence...we all know its a big step up to producing in playoff basketball.

i think there is merit to what BOTH sides are saying on this topic, firstly YES absoutely lebron has had help in the past 8 years, stars and all-stars and solid role players.he hasnt been playing with bums the whole time...but on the other hand its VERY,VERY CLEAR that he has been up against the better team on almost every ocassion as evidenced by the fact that he has been the betting UNDERDOG in all but one finals,so dont even argue that he has had the better support around him overall, youre just wrong....now does this mean that he should lose every time??no-of course not, underdogs win in sports obviously and he HAS WON so theres that...but in the long run with a seven game series and everything on the line the favourite prevails much more often than not,its just fact...and through plain misfortune or bad luck/timing lebron has been disadvantaged at critical times by team-mates crucial injuries and the mental/physical fatigue(in his last year in miami) and of course there was his own mental disintegration that one year vs mavs.....but all in all he has done well,or at least gets a pass mark MINIMUM,given the level of talent he had versus what he faced........youre an absolute joke if you think jordan if he was put in EXACTLY the same circumstances as lebron would have gone anywhere even near 8-0 or 7-1....no,no,no..it just wouldnt happen.
as for this seasons team,he has one all-star and a bunch of other guys that WOULD NOT EVEN MAKE GOLDEN STATES TOP 8 ROTATION PLAYERS so put down the fuggin crack pipe if youre trying to convince anyone that it is reasonable to think he has "enough" help to somehow make this thing competitive, let alone overcome this golden state team.

dude, are you fugging serious??you just argued AGAINST YOURSELF!!!surely you realise the reason livingston/mcgee can get off is BECAUSE of the attention given to the other SUPERSTAR TALENT all over the court, which provides them with the opportunity to just run in-game layup line drills, its NOTHING to do with them individually...shit,if lebron had klay and durant beside him you think that korver and j.r wouldnt be getting such fuggin wide open looks that they would be shooting 60% from three also??thats the difference, role players can shine when you have such a talent-laden starting 5,WHICH LEBRON MOST CERTAINLY DOES NOT.

ONCE AGAIN,you are arguing against yourself..the reason they cant stop those plays is because overall they are DEFICIENT defensively and i agree, lebron doesnt get a pass for this either.on ocassion his effort is awful and body language is toxic....but to be fair he is carrying the entire fuggin load on offense and as a leader so we can cut him a little slack...as for the rest of them, well they mostly are weak and/or immobile defenders and have been their whole fuggin CAREERS,guys like love/smith/korver/clarkson etc...have that reputation for a REASON and when you chuck them on a court TOGETHER the defensive problems multiply exponentially...whilst what you say about effort is true, defense isnt completely 100% just about how hard you try,of course it helps but if it was the only thing then when everyone tries in the playoffs then all defenses would be equal, right??and we know too well that aint the case at all....theres many other things that contribute to a players defensive impact-height/strength/speed/lateral quickness/arm length/instinct/cerebral intelligence/experience and of course most importantly connectivity as a group plus a gameplan from coaches.....and over a pretty large sample size now we can see that lebrons team-mates DONT HAVE IT and coupled with the fact that they cant shoot as well at the other end as the warriors you end up with the disparity that youve got...and no amount of "trying harder" will likely bridge that gap over a 7 game series.
its not just that ariza/tucker/capela/paul/gordon tried harder than the cavs, that might not even be quantifiable...its that they ARE BETTER DEFENDERS proven by results and by reputation.
