I picked the Jets and the Sharks both to win before the playoffs started. I think whoever comes out of the West is going to win the cup but reasoning for my picks. The Jets are the most talented team in my opinion. They are very deep, have a good defense and their up-tempo offense is just ridiculously good. Hellebuyck is a top tier goalie and can carry a team if they need it. They are very tough to beat on home ice, in hockey home ice might not be that critical but for this team it is a huge advantage for them. They are fast and have so much skill from top to bottom. Only downside about them is the lack of experience but I think they are good enough to overcome that. Sharks: This team is made for the playoffs. They are physical, tough and have plenty of vets with playoff experience to lead the way. Their defense is stellar and since acquiring Kane from Buffalo they have been one of the best offensive teams in the league as far as numbers go. There is no reason why they can't go to the cup. In years past their lack of offense has always been an issue. It is not an issue anymore lol. Their weakest part of theor game is in net, but I personally like Martin Jones and he showed that he can stand on his head as seen against the Ducks. Their defense is so good that there won't be too many nights where he gets bombarded with shots anyway. As long as he can play well they have as good a shot as anyone.
