I have been working on my laptop for 2 days trying to get rid of malicious malware, etc., that somehow found its way to my computer.
I have managed to get rid of most of it, but I need to know if you guys/gals are seeing mulitple ads WITHIN a person's thread (i.e, a 3 x 3 box style ad in the middle of someone's thread - in between posts) in addition to the top banner and sidebar ads. Specifically these ads may say "this ad will end in 30 seconds".
I have checked other computers in my house who are also getting these ads, but I need to be sure they are, in fact, legit ads that Covers has here- or something I need to look further into.
I'm quite the tech, but I need confirmation that everyone else is seeing these ads as well as myself.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond!!

your not the tech, you're a dumb blonde if you think contextual-based ads posted within a website are viruses girl ;)
First off, I didn't say it was a virus. Secondly, you must not be familiar with vgrabber/conduit or other malware....so keep your dumb opinion to yourself.

Okay lady. Malware and viruses can come from anywhere. Namely, popups, malicious websites, forwarders. It all has to do with being protected, and even if you are, clicking the wrong ad can sometimes not be blocked, for those who watch too much online porn. Anti-* software will still warn and attempt to block legitimate websites and try and warn you of popups/malware that truly isn't, but, thinking contextual based ads are malicious is basically just screaming screw the guy who pours all his money into working on this website and needs nothing back

Sir- I know exactly where it came from. At no point did I say it came from Covers nor did I say I clicked on an ad. In fact, I get these ads on other sites.
Personally, I think you are making too many assumptions on what "I think" in order to make yourself look smarter than "a techie gal whom also enjoys betting", and for some reason you obviously have a problem with that- hence calling me a 'dumb blonde'. Further, your initial post was in no way helpful to me or anyone else and, therefore, because of your egotistical narcissism...have wasted your time and mine.
It is my hope, however, that you find somewhere else to swing your schlong in someone else's direction- other than mine- that might be beneficial to you.
