https://twitter.com/NHLBruins (Bruins GM) Chiarelli on talking with Ference about him not returning: "tough conversation to have" also "Chiarelli said he told Jaromir Jagr and Jay Pandolfo that the Bruins are not signing them for next season; Wade Redden is a (no sign?) possibility"
NOT suprising. Matt Bartkowski probably ready to take Ference place and Jagr/Pandolfo pretty "long in the tooth"
https://twitter.com/HackswithHaggs with "Nathan Horton expected to be only Bruins player that will need offseason surgery for his left shoulder" also ""He's a heart-and-soul guy." Nathan Horton's teammates, GM would like him back in Boston next season" (he is a UFA and B's have a cap problem IF they give Tuukka Rask, who is an RFA, a load of cash)

What happened to Ference? Did he end up just getting old for NHL standards? He played solid with the B's cup run, and his time with Pitt he never really put it together... I'm looking at RYDER being available, Weiss with Florida and Mason Raymond with the Nucks. Pitt needs a D-Captain but I would like to see a two-way player like Raymo, or a M. Ryder who scores about once every four games. If they could get a solid player of this caliber losing Duper wouldn't be see bad. Make some Cap space already...IGGY would look pretty good in a Montreal jersey, what'd u say HABS fans?

Iginla can still play, Bylsma is just too stupid to know how to use him. Barely played him on the powerplay, made him play on his wrong wing and stuck him on the 3rd line
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

Clearly jagr is a rental at this point ........never like seeing my FAVORITE players at the end of the career change uniforms like they are out of style(Dallas uni's are) . JAGR is my fav of all time .....still good but the game has changed so much and on the defensive side he makes dumb turnovers that he maybe was able to get away with in the past

Ference is part age, part salary cap hit. the is 34 and made $2.25 million in 2012-13. with the Bruins having to re-sign Tuukka Rask as an RFA, they need all the "space" they can get and probably figure rookie Matt Bartkowski (age 25, $650K) is an acceptable replacement
P_B, Iggy DID play on the Penguins PP which FAILED against the Bruins. he "lunched up" against the Isl's and Sens BUT was NO points and a -4 against the Bruins. as for "playing 3rd line", Penguins had better people with the Crosby and Malkin lines than Iggy. he wasn't going to replace Chris Kunitz, Pascal Dupuis or James Neal
btw, Chris Kunitz just signed a 3 year extension averaging $3.85 million per. Kunitz led the Penguins with 22 goals this season and was second on the team with 52 points SO Penguins fans can look forward to more "Kunitz Kunst" (skill)
STILL need to sign Kris Letang, Pascal Dupuis and Matt Cooke. Letang probably "zu viel" at an expected $7 million price range and I expect him to be traded for a draft choice and donuts probably during the NHL Draft Sunday, June 30th. "Duppy" is pretty much a "must sign" while "Cookey" not so much BUT would be GOOD to keep one of the BEST PK pairs in the NHL together

Detroit was the NHL bone-yard there for a lil' bit, I think Tony Amonte and then Hasek... Then they went crazy with vets for awhile...think it was just a phase though, with I think Modano being the last.

Florida is prob the team that will sign Jagr if he wants to stay in the nhl...
Panthers could be an interesting Cup odds play @ 100-1 IF they get key players like Sean Bergenheim, Kris Versteeg, Scottie Upshall and Stephen Weiss (who is UFA) back 100% healthy AND Tomas Kopecky, Jonathan Huberdeau and Dmitry Kulikov continue to improve. Goalie Jacob "Marky Mark" Markstrom actually showed some signs of being able to "steal" games on a team with a horrid defense. COULD suprise some people

according to https://twitter.com/TSNBobMcKenzie "Nathan Horton has informed Boston he's moving on and exploring UFA. His UFA rights are now available in trade." also "Horton's agent Paul Krepelka: "Nathan has told BOS he wants to explore free agency. It's not a financial issue, just a decision to move on." (somewhat strange to me. I thought Horton was a Boston "die hard"?)
also tweeted "B's talking trade and Tyler Seguin's name has been discussed." (not really suprising. kind of "disappeared" against the Bhawks)
"Not sure what term Rask's new deal will be but I'd count on it being in the $7M/year range. Rask's agent Bill Zito to meet B's this weekend." (as a RFA IF Boston doesn't give it, some other team WILL)
"Bergeron likely to get an 8 yr extension worth $6.5M+/yr." (Patrice would definately deserve it)

38 year old Bruin - former Devil Jay Pandolfo is retiring. one of my all time favorite "defensive forwards". was on an NCAA Campionship team @ Boston University with Chris Drury and Mike Grier and won Stanley Cup twice with the Devils

Ever see the Travelling Jagrs? They each wear a different Jagr jersey and go to games. Ridiculous. Google their photo. Haha.
