i love seeing all of the bucknuts come out like this...sweet..
oh...philly...trends are pretty interesting , maybe youve seen the same ones...
michigan is 5 and 2 ATS in their last 7 games after accumulating more than 470 yards in their previous game...something they've done this season quite often.
O st is 3 and 7 ATS in their last 10 home games.
The road team (Michigan) is 5 and 2 in the last 7 meetings.
...and Insight, I can appreciate kinda where you're coming from except braxton is a sophomore and its his 2nd year playing versus Denard that happens to be in his 4th year and is a senior. He also has 90 total TD's and its unlikely miller will stick around to see that happen.
Other than trends that means next to nothing...if you buy into them, use them to bet on games...you'll be homeless soon enough.
The most interesting thing or surprising thing is that o st hasnt lost a game this season. Congrats....some say its because of the strength of their schedule but its probably because miller has had to bail them out on quite a few games this season...against some pretty weak teams as well...so, before you throw away your hard earned money placing any action on o st, just look at what they've done this season.
Stat wise, Wisconson, Purdue, UAB, CAL had higher stats in most, if not all of the major categories...UAB at home...come on. One of the 2 bigger surprises for o st is that they gave up 49pts to Indiana but won the game even though they were 19pt favs and only won the game by 3. The other surprise was the Purdue game ...a home game that had to be pulled out of someones rear w/ 3 seconds left to send it to OT...nice. Btw...they had o st covered in every stat except for a few yards of rushing. 17pt home favs in that one there as well.
Not sure if anyone noticed and couldnt care much either way but Mich played Purdue as well, in Purdue and beat them by 31pts. They were also held to only 13pts. Another fact you should check out...and they are facts and please let me know if im incorrect w/any of this info...how about Illinois? Yea, o st beat them by 30pts which is cool but...so did every other team they played but o st gave up the 2nd most points to them defensivly. Charleston Southern even shut them out...oh yeah, Michigan did as well...45-0.
Well, I guess one other positive was that is was the 1st and only time o st was able to cover the double digit spread...nope, my mistake...you were able to do it with Miami (Ohio) as well.
Bettors...just be careful not to take the undefeated thing to seriously...with that schedule, several teams could do the same...or at least I would hope so. Big Ten isnt what it used to be, thats for sure.
At least Michigan played 2 of the best teams in the BCS standing...Alabama and Notre Dame...oh yea, they're #1in the country and so was Ala.....and I dont think we did to bad losing by 7pts and holding them to 13pts in their house...and we threw 5 total picks ...btw, we did have them covered in total yardage, rushing, receiving, time of poss, etc
Its too bad Denard got injured while we were beating Nebraska or Michigan would be going to the Big 10 championship game and then odds are then the Rose Bowl.
Ok...I'll stop now but leave you with this...and look it up if you dont believe me...Michigan is #1 in the nation in pass defense, #12 in total total yards allowed, and #18 in pts allowed on Defense. I looked up o st's numbers and some were decent but Im sorry...they wont be good enough...oh yeah, its probably because of the teams o st played and how well they played against them.
The only thing I respect about Ohio at all is Urban M...without him, who knows how much worse things could be...to all buckeyes, dont be to broken up about not getting into a bowl game...you'll just save yourself from getting beat like what always happens...
GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
