7-1 yesterday. Easy to overlook the quality of opponents Baltimore has been playing the past 8 weeks... PIT, IND, NE, CIN (twice), DEN, MIN. A 3-5 record against these teams almost seems good when you think about it. I like the way this team is playing the last month. IMO, the Packers are playing in a soft conference and against opponents that make their defense look much better than it is. Lean to the under as well.

I couldn't agree with you more. Balty held Peyton Manning in check, but I am supposed to believe that Aaron Rodgers is going to light them up. Love the Ravens here.

RAVENS +4
New England isn't the same New England everyone thinks they are, and neither is Pittsburgh. The Indianapolis game was a game they choked and should of won if they mounted one single touchdown. The Colt's defense isn't a defense that just shuts you down the whole game. For the Raven's offense to not have one touchdown especially when the Colts gave them the ball with great field position a few times tells me that they aren't such a great team. What else tells me the Raven's aren't so great? How about that no show in Cincinnati after they gave up the lead earlier to them at home and lost. If they were the Raven's I thought I knew, they would of came out and smoked the Bengals in that type of revenge game.

Fair points but with the wild card at stake, every game from here on out takes on a must-win scenario for Baltimore. That no show in Cincy is what I believed sparked this team. NE and PITT are not the same teams than what we are accustomed to but when you consider them against the Packers schedule featuring DET (2x), STL, CLE, and TB there's a bigger disparity in talent. Don't need the Ravens to win, just cover... flip the question on it's head and ask yourself how good the Packers are? Look at who their wins have come from? Dallas might be their best win and that doesn't say much to me.

No way! I believe after their bye week they figured they needed to regroup and go on a serious run, which would explain their blowout of the Denver Broncos. Then they went to Cincinnati and layed an egg, it should show us that their not amongst the League's elite anymore.
Another thing to watch out for betting the Ravens is the margin of covering spreads they had last year as well as having the greatest positive turnover margin change from 2007 to 2008 of +30! Teams that have those things happen from one year to the next get lucky, and have false expectations. The Ravens need to win turnover battles all year long and its not happening again for them. Oh yeah and Green Bay has a +17 turnover ratio for the year, they have things going their way and they don't make stupid mistakes the Ravens use to get ahead.

I'm not going to write off this team just yet... Again I look at the schedule that Green Bay has played this year and it just doesn't impress me. Remember we're talking about GB covering four points and I just don't think they do tonight. They may win, but I believe it's close. The media is all over GB to beat the Ravens but I like Baltimore playing with their backs against the wall what with all the injuries, etc.

Good debate.
Strength of schedule being talked about as everyone is doing does not help. Team's take that personally and have an extra edge in motivation when everyone is asking them who they've played.
Teams that win usually cover the spread in the NFL. And even if it is a supposed "close" game, that hook is just their to bait you into that thought anyways.

Meant to say teams that win small spread numbers are usually the winner SU.
