Well.. If Flour and the Pens get back to the cup it would probably cement the majority of his career with Pitt. (booooooo) while if he blows it again, let's hope he's gone before the tears dry. I thought they should've traded him while his name had some value. Can't wait for October.....

While his time in Vancouver was short, he was a great fit. He can be a great player and will support a good roster. I think he can be a great player but that depends on who is surrounding him. My bro is a huge Blues fan, along with the Kansas city Chiefs, and both teams got something going this year.

He's just misunderstood like Jim Morrison, he said. Little basterds everywhere...like herpes....

Jagr may be older than dirt but losing Kovalchuk had to put a smile on managements faces. IMO, this was one of the biggest BUSTS for an NHL team in the last ten years. Kicking down all that cash and to have no impact, for better or worse. Jagr can still make an impact on the game, Devils found a great work horse.

DP would have been a great fit, while his consistency comes up a lot it wouldn't be like Pittsburgh needs him to be an all-star. They just need his body, while Ryan Smythe has a descent net presence we need someone who can't be cleared out. (man, imagine Dustus in front of the net on the Penguins PP) Tomas Fleischman would look damn good in a Pens jersey, good net presence with a knack for offense. How's FLOUR still in a Pens jersey? There's still time until October...THERE'S STILL TIME PEOPLE....

Does anyone else feel like the Rangers are going to be the "under estimated" team in the east? The rangers have been collecting some solid talent. I for one like Elaine and his coaching ability, I think Torterella can't hold his jock. I'm also a big Marc Crawford fan along with his time with with Vancouver and Colorado. For me Elaine made Vancouver a better team after Crawford took his departure.(despite having twins) IMO RYAN KESSLER is the key to Vancouvers success. Think the Rangers go deeper than the nucks next year... I'm not a rangers fan but I'll be rooting for Elaine and Henry....bring on October already. Sayonara Iginla..

Scuderi is a shut down defender and I'm glad to see he's heading back to Pitt. That's even better news than IGGY going to Boston. Seeing how Flour is still a Penguin? I wonder with the D getting ready for war will this be Flours last season with Pitt if he blows another play-off run? I am surprised to see him with the club after he got to hold the bench down this year. To me, in the last few post-seasons he has shown that he cannot win a series for PITT. Until the FLOUR is named the back-up or is traded I just don't see him leading us to paydirt.

Man I wish teams would structure a contract based off of play. Like guarantee 4 million and then base the rest off of goals scored, assists, +/- and points. We've seen players hold teams hostage by holding out, getting the big contract and become just an average player with a superstars paycheck. Not saying Letang is average, but if your on a line with Kunitz, Crosby and Malkins your going to have some room. He's a great fit, so I hope he works out a deal...

IMO... Torterella and his stomping the feet routine, public criticizum of players(I feel) is his tool to garner public/fan support. He's good at pointing out the obvious, pointing fingers at the machine when it doesn't work. The only time I hear the word "accountable/accountability" is after a loss, or when your in the toilet.... Guess we will see though

I second that?...Sedins I've never seen as being physical for their size. Blocking shots and killing penalties now? Derek Roy and Ryan Kessler had some speed and chemistry being paired up for a short period of time. This could be one of the greats this year but who knows how Torterella is going to line em up. I think I've seen Daniel Sedin once with a bruise on his cheek, Torts...Genuis at work.

Package deal....we could slip RYDER in there somewhere...RYDER/MARROW/RIBS/NEAL...got to be some Dallas Stars chemistry in there somewhere... Why let PRICE stink up the joint when you can smell the FLOUR. How about that for a SEGUE? MAF was born to play for the HABS

Detroit was the NHL bone-yard there for a lil' bit, I think Tony Amonte and then Hasek... Then they went crazy with vets for awhile...think it was just a phase though, with I think Modano being the last.

So how are we gonna get RIBS/RAYMOND/RYDER to the PENS? If the FLOUR left, BRYZGALOZ would look pretty damn good in a PITTSBURGH jersey. Jarome and Marc-Andre still available HABS fans...

I am very happy to see that Pittsburgh is still committed to the youth of the club. I think this will be a career year for Kunitz, in years previous Kunitz seemed to be a very unselfish/team player. In this last season (shortened it was) he started to look for his shots growing into an integral offensive piece to Pittsburghs puzzle. If he can build on last years numbers, I won't feel so bad if Duper takes the train. I see RIBS might be looking for a new club? Ribs/Marrow/Neal looks like a pretty good line to me....

Too bad, probably the most consistent goalie in the western conference. Sucks for him that he never had the supporting cast to go with his talent. If SJ kept him they probably would have won the cup by now. I wonder if Ray "Charles" Emery will be happy as the back-up, or will someone make a run at him? Let's say Philly for fun, there's some whispers bout Loungo, (hypothetically) I can't see him anchoring the franchise like his time with Florida. Geez, never thought I'd say this but he's just not a BIG-GAME player. So whos gonna wanna take a bite out of that contract?

I second that... I think the Canucks will get back to there winning/top o the conference ways... I just hate it when coaches get credit for other peoples work. I think of it as the PHIL JACKSON. Syndrome, sure you've won an s-load of championships. Let's see you go to Cleveland and coach a team from nothing into a championship club.

Good to see you didn't take the penalty... And too bad JAGR didn't leave Pittsburgh in a good way, it'd be nice to see him retire with the club... Fleury and Jerry wouldn't look to bad in Habs gear... FLEURY putting a lil fire under Price, who knows when he will lift that curse on his new pads.....

What happened to Ference? Did he end up just getting old for NHL standards? He played solid with the B's cup run, and his time with Pitt he never really put it together... I'm looking at RYDER being available, Weiss with Florida and Mason Raymond with the Nucks. Pitt needs a D-Captain but I would like to see a two-way player like Raymo, or a M. Ryder who scores about once every four games. If they could get a solid player of this caliber losing Duper wouldn't be see bad. Make some Cap space already...IGGY would look pretty good in a Montreal jersey, what'd u say HABS fans?

Pens seem to end up going up against a hot goalie. JARO HALAK spoiled the Pens push for another cup with the HABS. Now that was a bummer but at least he took out the CAPS in the next round. If HALAK didn't brick up the net Pitt/Was would've almost assuredly won the cup that year. That was the CAPS best line-up since Ovarian entered the NHL. And Pitt having just won the cup and the same line-up, DAMN YOU HALAK!

Hopefully PITT/CHI end up meeting in the CUP within the next couple of years. Damn near mirror images of each other, minus IGGUS of course. A ton of great D-men looking to get paid, we need to free up some $ and cut the IGGUS weight. We're still too light in the azz though...
