Teddy was my favorite. No idea where he went.

Thanks Lordzud. Keep those thoughts and hope the line moves more. IU wins this game easily. The SEC means nothing to Mizzu at this stage.

You are nuts if you think Rumble has any chance against GSP at this time in his career.

Not hating at all. I'm a big fan. Just saying that I watched the fight. Fedor's face was busted with a jab. The odds won't be so large if he fights this guy again. Rogers is not afraid of him at all.

No more Jake Shields fights. Boring.

If Fedor is smart, he'll never fight this dude again. Rogers should of and could have been the guy to dethrone the unbeatable Fedor.

Was just outside. No clouds, no wind, perfect day. Gonna be 70 and sunny on the lakefront. Cutler attempting to go deep often today after media ripped Bears all week for conservative play calling. Can you say shootout?

It would be great for rating. Imagine someone pissing on HIS bed? You are right about Japen. Bob Sapp is a huge star there. Huge. He was a complete zero in the US.

I hope we never see the ref of Maynard/Clemente again. Was anyone else sick of hearing the ref tell Maynard and Clemente to "come on guys, work"? They were working. Who was that? He was boarderline badgering them. At one point Maynard looked at him and seemed to wonder what he wanted them to do.
I know the refs think the fans are stupid and need stand up action. But it's not like these guys weren't trying to improve their position.

I'm a Tulane believer now. A good solid sleeper team was UL Monroe. Was waiting for Tulane to falter last Saturday. Tulane gave them a legit beatdown. Tulane handles SMU with ease.

Shep, how many games are you on? Your record is good. Just seems the law of averages will catch up. What is your final card going to look like?

No mate, public is not stupid. However, we're all like sheep who follow without using our God given brain and intellect! You see, there are many people out there who love the sport and KNOW the sport and rightly so they play OVER, because they have reasons as I stated in my write up. Nevertheless, there are millions out there who don't have a clue what's going on, but they're compulsive gamblers who want some action tonight as they kick back and knock down a dozen beers as they enjoy Monday Night action on their LCD's or plasmas. Now those people, know very little or nothing at all about betting, they're just casual punters who throw a bit of money here and there just for some excitement. Those are the people that Vegas loves and wants to suck in, and gives them a "juicy" line to attract them. Are you with me? Probably not, because it's hard to explain over a few lines here...
But the point is that "word of mouth" spreads, and mate says to his other mate, that everyone likes the Over tonight and so you have a ripple effect, everyone piling on the Over without doing much thinking. Do you think that those WHO SET THE LINE originally didn't anticipate the public action on the over tonight??? Of course they did. Do you think, the normal jo public out there, sat for 2-3 hours studing the line and checking the line movement and thinking why Vegas opened it at such point and analysing it as to why it's climbed at this other point??? Of course not! No one has time to "fiddle" around like that. Such thing is left to the bookies and professional gamblers. The rest is Joe Public, who I don't label stupid, but rather careless, as they don't really care about losing a 50 bucks bet here and there. But Vegas loves a million of those 50 bucks bets! Now this may or may not stay UNDER the total, but it was opened high enough anticipating that it'll go even higher, and so far it's gone according to Vegas script. Hopefully, the end result goes according to my script now! Hopefully, what I wrote made some sense ..... . BOL with your plays to you and everyone else here (me included as i need this one) AUSSIE
Great explanation Aussie. Thanks. You are normally right so I was not doubting you. Been on Covers for over 3 years. Not a big poster. But I do read them frequently. Some posters, not you as far as I can ever tell, make it sound like they are outsmarting some dumb public fool. Just thought I'd mention it. GL in the future. Look forward to reading your threads.

I love these comments about "The Public". They must be unsophisticated slobs. Like there is this element out there betting foolishly and we are smarter then them. Just because a lot of people think the OVER is the play here.....doesn't make them stupid. OVER for me.

I hope that is the last we see of Houston Alexander. He isn't even a one-dimensional fighter. Keith Jardine has to feel like an idiot losing to this guy. There are several good fighters in Nebraska. Alexander is not one of them.
