Faulk is a damn tire fire in his own end. His team's save percentage goes down the toilet when he's on the ice. The guy clearly gives up too much space.

I think the Flames have done very well. Their offence has been clearly bolstered after Monahan and Johnny Hockey provided 44% of their offence last year. James Neal, Derek Ryan, Lindholm give them much needed depth. Hardest thing to do in the league is score goals. Vegas clearly lost a ton of offence and the Flames gained some shooters. Calgary just passed them by if they get any kind of consistent goaltending instead of that misery to finish the year once Mike Smith got hurt.

Neal has nothing to do with this. Hamilton was signed for 5.5 till 2022.  A dman a little better signed for 11.  Money has a lot to do with a successful trade.  Good luck to the Flames with Hanefin and Lindholm

If perennial loser steven stamkos wouldn't sign for a documented $20 million per annum FOR LIFE with his birthplace and hometown Toronto, I'm gonna go on a 4" limb and say Tavares def wont sign with his birthplace and hometown Maple Leafs.  Millions are not important if it means they might be criticised for their play.

The value of an nhl franchise went from $100 million to $700 million while he's been commissioner.  So fukkin what? I bought my house for $167K in 1994 and is now worth 1.3 million in 2018.  Was gary involved?  people are so dumb its nauseating.

The biggest stars and most prolific players could always handle themselves in the alley since hockeys' inception.  All of a sudden 1992 comes along and things are allowed to change.  Why? Ask yourself. Take a deep breath and think about it.  This 4 foot maggot changed everything about the game.  Everything.  And everyone went along with it because he "out-thought" everyone.  He is smarter than MOST. He knew that at any moment the game could change if a coach tapped his player to break an eye socket, so he changed the rules to suit his financial style.  Eat it up peeps.  This is not a gary rant.  This is something for the past, present and future.  I know 99.8% of guys don't give garbage because all anyone cares about here are winners.  But that's not me. Im cerebral. Deal with it.

I have to compare it to something MOST of everyone on covers understands to try and get my point across.  The biggest piece of sh!t in sports took the most important aspect out of my game that existed since 1886 and is the fundamental of hockey itself, but its same old same old for everyone around here.  Well im not okay with it and neither should REAL hockey people be either.  No fighting.  This would be the equivalent to TOUCH football in the NFL.  Are we cool with this?  YA YA you could rehearse all the bullsh!t the fake league nhl gave you with "letting the stars shine" but you have all been hoodwinked by the midget Napoleon whodini.  He could have taken out the "clutching and grabbing" without having to take out the MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF HOCKEY: Its physicality.  He did this so he can control the outcome of the games.  Think about it.  Tinfoil out.

gary is the biggest piece of sh!t to have ever been born.  He changed the game WE all love before your eyes and youre too _____ to have even noticed.  I would run him over with my 4x4 if I had a chance.  The fact that this thread was even made is disgusting

Carolina got the "top end" dman?  How is Hanefin even remotely in that class?  Brad Treliving is banking and praying these 2 RFA's perform at a much much better clip then they have.  If not, he's handcuffed the Flames big time.I don't see this ending well.

Hamilton scored 44 pts so why does he need the walk? Its Hanefin that needs to get it going.

Hamilton lead all Calgary defencemen and was 5th in team pts and could've easily been 3rd.  And he's the problem? Now the Canes have 4 reliable defencemen signed cheap for the next 3-4 yrs.  Whatever.

Dougie Hamilton for loser Hanefin?  There are so many things wrong with this rape, I don't even know where to begin.  This "trade" makes no sense.  Neither statistically nor financially.  Hamilton was Flames top defenceman, top 10 in the league and is signed till 2022 at $5.75 yr.  Super BUST Hanefin is an RFA and the Flames will have to sign him for the same or more.  The rest of this "trade" is even worse.  **Flames end up last in the division with only maybe Vancouver behind them** Ahhhhh the façade continues......
