We don't get decisive cashes too often Gents. I think for the first time I've followed the playoff Leafs, they played a complete and determined game. Was fun to watch (if you're a Leafs fan) |

@mr_armchair_qb It's hard to argue with ya. My bets are a unit a piece and my post should have added that IF you like pain, then these plays are for you. Cheers! |

Gents,
Have seen little insanity on the board as I believe after 2 generations (or 3) Leafs fans don't hold out too much hope for 1st round tilts... ok, maybe they do, but like a good old fashioned redneck, they keep quiet these days. The embarrassing 1st round exit to the Habs last year was the last straw. I think the curse is over...yeah right. I'm calling it here...calling it now:
The LEAFS get out of the 1st round in 6. Take game 1 at home as the entire city loses their minds with tonights victory...

Want to sit back and stay up on profits over the playoffs so will enjoy the game. Have had some decent success playing hooked props. As I see 4-5 touchdowns per team in this game, I'm gonna try to capitalize on the following TD PROPS.
PRINGLE CHASE (2) KELCE +2100
HARDMAN CHASE (2) KELCE +2700
ROBINSON CHASE (2) KELCE =3500
I know these aren't strong % plays, but for someone who wants to have fun with the game and not risk an overwhelming amount, it's a nice way to enjoy the game without caring who wins.

@lancer89074 While he did indeed win the Nobel Prize, he is now 90 and spent the last several years as a spokesperson for homeopathy and has been discredited and shunned by much of the medical community. Now Im not saying dude is wrong...but more facts are needed. He also is quoted as saying anyone vaccinated will be dead in 2 years...go figure |

I've only seen this kind of walk off rant resulting in a player never playing again for a team. It's already common knowledge Arians has punted him officially from the team...I am beyond convinced that AB has serious mental health issues and his behaviour has personified this. As an off note - last time I saw a player of consequence storm off a bench and mouth off was Patrick Roy...legendary Habs and Avs goaltender. It really is a rare thing to see and ya just hate seeing it |

@Battalion74 I was also curious of the 4pm spot for what it matters...Not sure if this game got flexed or why...all I know is this game is bothering me. Even my girl said "Niners" despite everything we know so far. I'm waiting to scope weather, but I'm thinking 49rs in a weird spot with a weird line |

Yeah scary as I line up pretty much with your assessments. That said, probably gonna fade the Bills play and just enjoy the game. I've watched TB own the Bills through his career and Fournette has been just stupid good last month. While I like our chances in the passing game, I am weary of Dabols calls of late. On paper we should definitely have success against Bucs secondary. Knox has 2 bad drops last week and he should get back on track this week. This could be the first opp the Bills have had to spread the ball vertically without having to worry about weather etc in some time. On defense, I'll be curious to see how Bills defend vs the run. I have utmost confidence in Bills pass defense...but run D is a whole other story. I'll be a homer and cheer for Bills, but won't commit $$ |

I'd take Broncos. Lions had their SB last week w their win over MIN. It's REALITY time now and super tough for a team of limited talent to win at Mile High. Good Luck! |

Gents, I've checked the injury report and I'm quite frankly stumped on this line I'm being offered SF -1.5 Deebo is questionable, which normally means he'll play. Cin coming off an embarrassing loss to LA Bolts last week. You'd think the Bengals would be a small fave here...but you've got road 49rs installed as a small fave. I figured I'd lay out this thread as a discussion piece before the board gets crazy tomorrow.
Thanks |

What does it say that Vegas hasn't taken the game off the board completely? Anything can happen in this league and the best cappers on earth have it tagged at 15...me thinks running the ball and playing defense. If Brees were in lineup I'd stay away from this one..but something tells me this will be one of the quickest games in NHL history with both teams doing nuthing but running the ball. That makes for low scoring game. |

Thanks VG. I am only going by what I read on the Venetian website which stated 1.50 per hr comp per hr played. I gotta figure on playing at least 10hrs per day which certainly wont get me a free lunch I'm sure, but it may make a slight dent in a sandwhich and soda. Not really overly concerned with price. I got bucks that I'm willing to part with for the right experience. As for eating and dining; I'm going alone...so no romance is required..but I do love a good bottle of red and willing to drop a yard or two no prob on a great steak and cab sauv. I love people watching and will be on nobody's clock which is great. Any advice you have is great. Not looking to be wined and dined by the casino's...savy enough to know this come with people who drop large money. As I said, cards is my thing. Going to test the waters. If I feel good about the place, will come back next June for the real action. Thanks again fellas for your insight. McG Quote Originally Posted by VegasGourmet:

On my way down this Sunday; stayin at Venetian. Gonna play cards there, Bellagio, Aria and Wynn.
Looking for any vets who would know decent places to eat. Saw a nice thread on pancakes which i took note of... Figure on comps through cards to get me a simple meal a day at any casino; drinks clearly not an issue at most places. So for other meals (and these can be cheap and good or expensive but memorable), any tips from the board is well appreciated. Plans while I'm down there are just these "touristy" type deals like shooting a weapon for the first time (hey...I'm Canadian...the only weapon were used to is a snow-blower), driving a sports car at the Vegas track and maybe checking out the Pawn Stars store that we catch on cable. Nothing special...main agenda: Poker. Nothing huge....some 2-5, 5-5 type stuff and maybe take a crack at some live Omaha; something I've only played on line. I'm a regular player in cash games for 5 years now...figure I'd see what I can do in the Motherland...sometimes ya just gotta prove it to yourself. Any advice on dinner or activities is welcome! Thanks McG

Not to come off cheap, but I just recently placed a 5k bet, and I was refused a free drink. I order a beer, had two dollars waiting for her to come back, and while laughing she said "it's $7 and I can careless what your meeting with management was about"....The meeting was about placing a 5K wager which took an arm and a leg to place. Basically two calls had to be placed by management and eventually all the people within the sports book knew of my wager. I don't take kindly when my 5K is just being waved around for everyone eyes to see. I've never had a experience like this before when it comes to drinks. If my wagers are high, which normally they are 1k or more, I will have to wait a couple more minutes for approval by the sportsbook management.
Ridiculous to be treated with such disdain by the casino, but more insultingly by "wait staff"...it amazes me that these people who are supposedly in the business of keeping the patrons happy, satisfied, and spending money; do everything in their limited power to make your experience a crappy one. I mean cmon...5 dimes? Is this Vegas or the local college boookie? Is the MGM really in danger of having their liability on your wager exceed their padded resources? Totally fucking unacceptable... The problem with those in life who have a sense of "entitlement"; as in your laughing server chick is that life has a funny way of coming back to bite you in the ass...If this moron gets 2$ from 200 people per day, this is 400$ in income...likely for someone who was likely lucky to make it past high school...the next time you get that laugh, you tip NOTHING! I really look after those who look after me...that's what I woulda told her...I'm more put off by your story regarding the service rather than the bet...uptight serving broads with a bloated sense of self importance likely brought on by the size of their pre-paid tits absolutely make me puke...but hey...I'm the one with the money...and she isn't. Thanks for the feedback. McG |

Yep...never been Sin Citied...
For my 40th, my wife has bestowed what can only be described as a married man's wet dream so to speak....FREEDOM in Sin City, Las Vegas...the Mother Land...
So here's the thing...I lived the party life for 10+ years...there's not much I haven't done or seen...course, that is a subjective statement when you don't know EVERYTHING that life has to offer...
So here's what I'm going down there with...about 5k in USD...I say that cuz I'm coming in from the great white north, otherwise known to my luvable US friends as Canada...or that cold place that breeds hocker players and is famous for not much other than the saying "eh" and the fact that our Thanksgiving is before yours..we are always more anxious to give thanks, expecially when it hasn't snowed on our ass by October...
So the main reason for the trip? None really...I've just never been...for a guy who's spent the latter part of his life playing poker and betting on sports, I've never been to Vegas...many have asked me if I plan on coming home...I laugh...the goal here gentlemen is to have a blast while I am down there.
5k is a sum that I aim to lose...so do ya get my drift? I ain't looking for a way to WIN money in Vegas...I am looking to EXPERIENCE Vegas like it needs to be experienced.
I plan on staying at the Bellagio or Caesars...both come recommended. I plan on playing in some WSOP events and I also plan on playing in some of the daily tourney's that both hotel's feature...UNLESS you all know a better place for me to be playing cards.
I play 2-5 and 5-5 weekly up in Niagara Falls and hold my own...but I know my game may not be any good in a town famous for wanna be's and loaded with loose money. The bottom line is I am hoping not to tank hard, but at the same time can accept losing because the experience is gonna be what I am looking for...
I know some of the card players on the site are at this moment tryin to track me down as FISH numero uno on its way to Vegas? Don't think of me as rent or whoore money fellas..I know when to step away.
But it's in the details that I am looking for your advice, recommendations, must sees and must do's... I will be travelling solo, so I doubt I'll catch any shows or play any golf...I will probably stick to gambling and sightseeing...I like to smoke cigars(quit smoking cigs) so a nice place to sit back with my cuban fix and sip good booze is a nice place to start.
I also like the idea of a place where I can watch some entertainment that a single guy on the prowl might want to indulge in...keep in mind the bankroll of 5k which is modest and small by most Vegas standards I am sure.
I ain't asking you to work for free either...while I can't exactly pay you for your advice, I can tell you I'll be bringing the laptop and I plan on reporting back into this thread how things are going. Your knowledge will indeed be valuable to me and so I think it only fair that you see how I rate your recommendation.
Anybody reading this having been to Vegas solo, tell me what you did that you liked? Tell me what you did that was a waste of time or money....What was something you EXPERIENCED that you will NEVER forget?
Where is the BEST place to go to bet on sports where the seating is second to none, the servers are pleasant and nice to look at and I can relax with my feet up and watch a game while I drink for free(having very well tipped the gilrs of course).
Where is the BEST place a guy on his own can eat and enjoy and good bottle of wine? I am happy to spend 200$ on a meal if it's memorable...then again, I am also happy with a dive that makes a killer hot dog? Are ya feeling me yet? Whatever it is, it's gotta have a memory attached to it because building a repertoire of memories is what this trip will primarily be about.
I don't leave until the 29th of June and will be staying until the 3rd of July. Any and all of your feedback, advice, questions, recommendations are all very appreciated.
Take it eas,
MG |
