I believe LSU and Umass played in the marathon early last year and Umass came away with a 92-90 victory. Of importance in that game was the fact that Jarell Martin did not play in that game after being injured in the first minute. I’ve commented on LSU a bit this year in regards to just how bad I think their guard play is. Martin and Mickey (should be available this game, but sat out last game with an ankle injury) are a dime a dozen down low, but the guard play is ultimately going to tell the story of this LSU team this season. They’re soft on the defensive side of things and really try and filter opponents down low where Martin and Mickey can make a play or grab a rebound, which actually should help them in this matchup here tonight. Umass is a team that’s ultra-attack-happy, one that likes to get down low and score at the rim and draw a foul and get to the line. They’re not the best of outside shooting teams, so they’ll likely try that here and not sure how it works out with the tandem of Martin and Mickey waiting for them down low. Defensivley, Umass is going to work outside to in, really pressure the guards and get after it on the outside and try to come up with a steal. If they can’t force the turnover, this defense is pretty susceptible down low, which isn’t a good thing against LSU. Do I hate LSU’s guards? Yes, I do. But can I depend on them to take care of the ball and penetrate the gaps and crash the glass - things that will all be available to them here? Yes. I’ll take the revenge and the Umass hangover. Enjoy reading this stuff. Hope you start your own threads with this type of info. Thanks |

We understand the Raiders deficiencies so should we begin to talk about KC'S weaknesses? It seems as if we need to. Not too mention the Chiefs spanked the Raiders last year in Oakland and I'm sure they remember that beat down. Chiefs on a short week to prepare traveling to the west coast possibly looking ahead to the Broncos. KC will keep it simple with lots of ground and pound with Charles and Davis sprinkled in with short play action passes to Bowe and Kelce. Surely the Raiders can figure that out and keep it close or the unthinkable upset?? |

I see a 3 or 4pt. win by the Chiefs. This is the first meeting between the two teams this year. KC with a short week to prepare and travel to the west coast possibly looking ahead to the big game Nov. 30th against the Broncos at Arrowhead. KC hammered the Raiders 56-31 last year and I'm sure the Raiders remember it well. I think the Chiefs will play conservative with lots of rushing from Charles and Davis. Short play action passes to Bowe and Kelce. I don't think they show much with the short time to prepare this week and just trying to keep it simple with no turnovers in attempt to not lose the game because of their own mistakes. Chiefs probably want to wait and show more against the Broncos next week. The Raiders seem to being playing better but not good by NFL standards. Murray had 4 carries for 47 yds. last week and could get more carries than Drew and McFadden this week.

Great hedging opporutnity if either one makes the playoffs which COULD happen. Haven't looked at rest of season schedules but if Titans have an easy schedule Id throw some change @ 100/1 |

Looking at long shots right now I would say it will come from the AFC. The NFC seems to be between G.B. and S.F. with no contenders other than maybe N.O. or G-Men, but they wouldn't be considered a real long shot. The AFC seems to be between Hou, N.E., Pitt, and possibly Balt. I think a long shot would be the Raiders at 5-4 right now. I think they win the AFC west and I think they could upset a team or two in the playoffs. Palmer is finally starting to catch up with the speed of his very very fast receiving corp and improving with each and every game. Man, those guys are scary fast on offense even by NFL standards. They also have two very fast and tough RB's in Bush and McFadden (when he returns). Keep an eye out for the Raiders if their defense can improve.

Last place on earth that he would be is his house where everyone knows he lives....most likely in a cheap motel out of town somewhere.

Not cool considering it's not his house anymore. His house is the jail house. His wife...if he has one...shouldn't have to go through all this not too mention...violence is never the answer. Sandusky will pay in more ways then one in the end....no pun intended.

WOW...They don't call them the Aint's for nothing. Not the only team that would have killed this teaser but I'm not surprised by N.O. .....can't ever rely on that team when you need one.
