Masshole, no need to apologize bro. You put a pick out there and it didn't hit. So what, it's gambling and they don't always roll your way.

Good luck Hook, I like the Hawks, Bruins and Pens tonight. Thomas will be motivated but will still need some time to sharpen up, considering the layoff and injury. The Flyers will probably be up for the game considering who they are playing, but I think Pitt is just to much for them right now. Lastly I like the Hawks at home with as bitter taste in their mouth after the last matchup between them and the blues.

Bruins -120 (60 min)
Hello all. Great to be back. I've been around these forums a while, had to create a new account because i forget old password and my email was hacked. I was a lurker back when all the hockey picks would be in one post (threegirls). Anyways I stopped being a lurker last year and made some posts in the playoffs. Hockey is my passion, played for many years and made it to a respectable level. Enough about be, I will be posting this year ad look forward to healthy and respectful conversations. I'm a Masshole through and through so yes I don't times have a bias towards the B's. Probably similar to Hookem with the Hawks. I'm treading light first few weeks until I can get some good reads on these teams as they develop their identities. Tonight: Bruins -120 (1st 60 min) 2 units |

Chicago wanted it more at the end and it showed. Congrats to their supporters.

Polar, you are right on about how Toews can talk his way in. Scans don't always show a concussion, and he can still be having symptoms. I had a few when playing and the symptoms lasted a while.
Just sustained my most recent one a month ago in a bad crash. Like an idiot didn't have my belt on and went up into windshield at 53 mph. My most recent MRI didn't show anything, but I'm still getting migraines and dizziness, especially during physical exertion.

Rat thanks bud. I think that OT prop is a good idea again. Tough to turn down that price. Might go throw a unit on it for a flyer. Thanks for stopping by.

I lost the last 2 but feel pretty good about my read on this game. I believe Boston takes this one and forces a game 7. The Bruins have been in the same situation before, 2011 Finals. They will handle the pressure.
As mentioned in other posts on this board (Lerinkrat), it is hot and humid here in Boston. The ice will not be in good shape, especially later in the game. This will favor Boston. Last game Julien switched his d pairings back to reflect what we saw in the regular seasoning. This was probably done because of the way Seidenberg has been playing, struggling to say the least. His game 4 in Boston was a tough one. Made a bad pinch and made a costly turnover that led to a Hawks goal. From what's being put out now Bergeron and Toews will both play. I hope that's accurate. I want to see both teams with their top centers going. I know my posts seem like a broken record but the poi tank made in the past and the ones to follow hold true in games of this magnitude. I don't think we will see an offensive barrage tonight, like we did in game 4. That was because the Bruins came out flat. I don't think that will happen again. With the bruins playing their style and the ice condition I think we will see something like a 3-1 victory for Boston. Pick: Boston -125 5dimes(reduced) 625/500 Good luck to this on Boston And let's hope we see another great game |

LRR, thanks for making these posts prior to these games.
SD, I agree with pretty much all of what you had to say except for your high scoring opinion. I think it will be somewhere in the middle or low. Just a gut feeling. I do think Boston takes this game. But that doesn't mean much considering I've lost the last two. What gives me confidence is the resiliency of this Boston team. They were in the scenario in 2011, so I fairly confident they will not panic. Lastly I think splitting Chara and Seidenberg up will help. I have a lot of respect for Seidenberg , but he has been struggling as of late. Putting him with Ference reunite him with his d partner from the regular season. Prediction: Bruins:3 Hawks:1 Good luck all |

LRR, that OT prop is not a bad look. Surprised its still at that price considering how close his series has been.
I'm hoping Sod will give a little more punch tonight for that line. Dagh worked hard, just was snakebit when he had he opportunities. |

No surprise here, I am going Boston again. Honestly probably a little bias kicking in. Boston +1 -141 564.00/400 5Dimes Going +1 for a little insurance. I feel the Bruins will win, but I respect Chicago at home. The Bruins last game was a surprise to me because its the Cup Finals. If it were regular season or earlier on in the playoffs it would not have been as much of a surprise. The Bruins sometimes have brain farts and come out slow, which happened in game 4. You could tell they were in for a long night when they weren't making the smart pass and trying to be to pretty. They were also doing a lot of reaching and not moving their feet. They very rarely have back to back games like that. Also they play very well on the road, where they tend to simplify their game. As I keep on saying they get the puck in and get the puck out. If that holds true tonight they win, at worst they lose by 1 IMO. Be interested to see if Soderberg will lace em up tonight on the 4th line. If he does he gives that line a little more offense, even if its for a small amount of ice time. I also see the Chara/Seidenberg duo having a better game. Its been all over the Boston Globe here how they were out there for a bunch of goals. The Toews and Bickell start chirping about how Chara doesn't like to play physical. We shall see tonight. Im pretty sure he will come to play, its just a matter if Seidenberg decides to help him out and play smart. I have confidence in Rask even though the gates opened last game. Obviously this game is big, but if the Bruins lose the series is not over. I feel this series goes 7. Earlier I believed 6, but am leaning more towards 7 now. Heres to a good game. Just don't know if my emotions or my plasma can take another OT though, lol. |

Congrats Hook and Bhawks, you're team deserved this win. Bruins didn't come to play at first and the Hawks were moving. I agree Hawks these games sure do raise the BP
Again...

I gotta sleep on it. My gut going into tonight was the Bruins were going to win this game. Then the hawks the next one in Chicago. The Hawks are tough at home and with this win they will be feeling better about themselves and their style of play. It will be interesting to see how Julien decides to handle this. Going by his history I don't expect to see any personnel changes. But they might tweak their breakout a little. If you watched the Bruins this year and playoffs they try to hit that far wing trailing behind a step on the breakout. Tonight the Hawks stopped that. A few nights ago when Q spoke before the game in the locker room you could hear him say that was one of the things they wanted to stop. Well tonight there were successful.
The Bruins were not consistent at all tonight. When they win they do the little things correct and tonight they made handful of bonehead plays, for example Lucic trying to make a backhand pass across the middle in his own head, which lead to a penalty, then PP goal. I think the Bruins will try and simplify things and hopefully it will help negate the Hawks free wheeling style of offense. Rask did let in 6 tonight, but IMO that's more of an issue with the Bruins not picking up their assignments. A couple of examples are the Toews goal and the goal scored on the third chance. Ill get back to you tomorrow with more confidence. Nice hits tonight.
