Now I know some of you Alabama fans will just shrug this off as an excuse, but take your goggles off for a moment, and view it from a college football fan's view. Do you honestly believe for a moment, that the same team that battle the Tides, tooth and nails in Tuscaloosa, a mirror image of Alabama, came out and ran the most inept, repetitive, and uninspired offense in college football history? Only way a team of this caliber playing the way they did, was because they were forced too. But take from it however you may. Les Miles needs to go, cause he did not put the TEAM before his pride

40k+ tickets sold. Our own stadium, Cajun Field, only holds about 32k fans.
Great win for us |

Look at the past games where Oklahoma St has a huge lead. They let off the gas in the 2H, and their opponent outscores them in pretty much every game

I like it. It works for LSU.
Both QBs are asked to do different things during the game. Jefferson can pass, not as good as Lee, but he can run the option, which gives LSU another element in the game. Lee is the better passer, and for the most part, a better game manager. Yes, he did throw two bad picks, but it was something LSU expected, playing against a defense like Bama. And because LSU had two different style of QB, they were able to just revamped the game plan and adjust on the fly. But in the long run, Lee should still start, and both QB should have playing times. |

Agreed. He is definitely the best QB in the game right now.

Apparently, Bama is so confident in their offense and defense, that they didn't bother to practice kicking field goals. Doesn't sound like a complete team to me.

Listen, Bama stats look better this year, because they're playing an easier schedule than last year. Any unbiased Bama fan will admit that. This year Bama team, on offense, would not fare very well with last years schedule.
The defense that AJ will face this Saturday is nothing he has seen in his entire football career. LSU on the other hand, is playing a schedule just as tough, maybe even tougher this year. For years, LSU main weakness was their offense. For the first time in a decade, they have a legit offense to go with their defense, and people are just brushing it off. Come Saturday, we will see who's the improved team. LSU by double digit |

It's easy to pad your stats when you play teams that can't move the ball for shit, and keeps handing it back to the opposing team.
One reason LSU doesn't put up huge yards per game like Bama, is because their defense and special team gives them great, short field position. LSU defense has been scoring almost as much as their offense, decreasing their time of possession and offensive plays. Their special team and defense pins the opposing team inside their own 20 the majority of the time, and LSU ends up with a shorter field to play with. How much yards can they possibly put up, if they only have to move the ball 50-60yds per possession??? This is going to be a great game. But let's be real here, this Bama team has proven nothing, compare to Bama's team the last two years, who played a much tougher schedule. You keep using the 500+yds West Virginia put on LSU defense as the "all I need to know" argument, and not once mentioned the game was out of hand already and LSU played soft defense. But, somehow, Bama played one, apparently overrated Arkansas team, and that's the only argument needed. Alabama played one top 25 offensive team in Arkansas, a team who's prolific offense was literally shut down by Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, and was losing the majority of the game. How can anyone even use that as a measuring stick, to see how good one's team defense truly is. I have no doubt that Bama's defense is the real deal, but please....don't talk like LSU hasn't proven anything. They've proven more than what the Tides have done, so far. |

Systems and trends remove the human emotion factor. especially when taking underdogs. I normally take the 1h, when a strong trends supports the underdog, like in your threads.

Yes, Gruden rambles, but....At least Gruden talks football. He educates the viewers, tells them teams' formations, names of players, etc. The other commentators tells you the obvious.

Here's one thing to look at. What happens if McCarron, or Richardson, or any of Bama's starting linebackers get hurt in the game? Can the Tides just plug someone else in and chug along like normal? Can they stick to the same dominating game plan, or will they have to adjust?
LSU has done it, and succeeded in it. Also, while Bama has made me lots of money this year, who exactly have they played, outside of Arkansas, that even has a top 25 offense? |
