Tampa Bay celebrating a big 10-year anniversary reunion of their Super Bowl Championship season and today's ballgame will be played in front of a rare sold-out Raymond James Stadium... the place will definitely be rockin'! My money says that the Bucs NFL's #1 rush defense will have no problem shutting down Philly's run game... and, Eagle QB Foles not gonna be able to do much damage in the hostile environment. Meanwhile, Philadelphia defense allowing over 4 yds per rush... so, I'm looking for Buc QB Freeman to take advantage through the air, thanks to opportunities provided by RB Martin's big day on the ground today. ThePredictor Sez: Tampa Bay -8 (+105 @ 5Dimes) |

The Cowboys were made aware of the Brent/Brown tragedy while on their charter flight yesterday afternoon. One of their teammates killed, the other being arraigned today for intoxicated manslaughter. That’s tough and has gotta play a factor in the team's performance today. The Cincinnati defense, which leads the NFL with 39 sacks, gotta be licking their chops. Dallas QB Romo’s looking at a very rugged outing today in Paul Brown Stadium. Meanwhile, with Green-Ellis pounding the line… I see plenty of Dalton-to-Green connections for the hometown Bengals. Teams with lesser offenses than Cincinnati having no problem lighting up the scoreboard, with Dallas’ opponents ringing up 114 points L4W! Cincinnati’s sizzling four game win streak (that began with 38-13 spanking of the NY Giants) continues this afternoon. ThePredictor Sez: Cincinnati -3 |

Detroit takes the field tonight with the NFL’s #1 passing offense (313 YPG) and averages 410 YPG overall (2nd only to New England's 427). The last time Detroit visited Lambeau (Week 17 LY) QB Stafford threw for a franchise record 520 yds and five TDs! These Lions have been extremely competitive. Their inconsistency of not putting together a full four-quarter game is a recognized weakness and one that the team is focused on correcting. My money says they succeed in that desired 60 minute effort tonight in Green Bay. Fair minded fans and handicappers would agree that this year’s Packer team is considerably weaker than they’ve been that past few years and… wow… check out the Packer studs that will not suit up tonight! ThePredictor Sez: Detroit +7 |

Cleveland’s 12-game road losing streak ends this afternoon in Oakland. The Browns are playing inspired football and are on the proverbial roll. They've got one helluva stout defense, which sacked Dallas QB Romo seven times two weeks ago and had eight takeaways against the Steelers last week. It’s pouring rain right now in Oakland. That diminishes the effectiveness of Raider QB Palmer and increases the value of Brown RB Richardson… who will have a monster game later today against the Raiders' 28th-ranked run defense. Over the past four games, the Raiders have yielded 728 yards rushing and nine TDs. Over that same span, Richardson has rushed for 407 yards and two scores. ThePredictor Sez: Cleveland -1 |

The key to this game will be Chicago's ability (or lack thereof) to protect their QB. To view the Bear O-line as undermanned and vulnerable today is to be too generous. The unit has allowed 35 sacks TY, third-most of any team in the league, and I don't see many easy ways to advance the football this afternoon. The Week 2 defeat at Green Bay and Week 10 undressing at San Francisco demonstrated just how a voracious pass rush can decimate Cutler and the Bears' game plan. Seattle's "D" (29 sacks) gotta be chomping at the proverbial bit. Steady Seahawk QB Wilson (9 TDP 1 INT L5G) not making many mistakes and HC Carroll 11-1 ATS L12 as dog. ThePredictor Sez: Seattle +3 |
