that was awesome, weaver realized mr. lion needs his cash. i've had it go both ways before. everyone takes it for granite when it works your way and then gets pissy when it goes against them.

being the only team playing two 1-aa/fcs opponents doesn't do much for your strength of schedule.

If Lincecum wins, then Sanchez will win the following night.
That play is 9-0 this year. about +11 units.

Secretariat clocked the Belmont in 2:24 and the time today was 2:29 and change and you were last folding up like a cheap suit.
Ok, there was an issue. Fine, get him back in an OC that suits him and then a Grade III and then let's see him in the BC Classic. After that send him to Dubai and show the world how good you say he is.
Come on Dutrow let's see it . . . isn't that what you have been saying with such confidence?
The preakness was extremely slow too. This was one of the worst crops of 3 years ever. Hence, Big Brown's appearance as being dominant in prior races. Please guys, don't say this horse is in same class as Secretariat. Secretariat broke or came close to a record in many of his races. Big Brown never did. |

especially with only three races in career beforehand. it's amazing how everyone is trying to make sense now, when people were crowning him as an all time great three weeks ago. |

Pleasant Colony did not show up.
Alysheba could not get his Lasix.
Sunday Silence had Easy Goer.
Silver Charm didn't take the turns well.
Real Quiet moved too early.
Charismatic injured his front leg.
War Emblem went to his knees at the start.
Funny Cide did not like the slop.
Smarty Jones was the target of possible collusion.
What will Big Brown's excuse be???

All of this only goes to prove, that you can't and don't always win races with paper and pencil. There are other factors involved with 'picking winners' and those that play strictly by the numbers are doomed to everlasting frustration.

Alydar and Sham would beat Big Brown easily. That's what i would consier. Casino Drive is an very much an open book at this point. Yea I don't see the Belmont shaping up much better than the past two legs, but people have gotten carried away with Big Brown and if Casino Drive is a solid horse, and by a solid horse meaning a level that Big Brown has yet to see, then yes i see Casino Drive with a great chance of beating Big Brown. Maybe i set the sights to high with Alydar and Sham. Certainly you would be willing to acknowledge a number of other leagues in between the SEC and WAC. Take last year for example. Street Sense, Curlin, Rags to Riches, Tiago, Hard Spun all much better than than this year's 2nd best three year old. And in the Triple Crown legs they beat up on each other. Another way to put it, Sunday Silence and Easy Goer were two of the greatest horses of off all time(both better than Big Brown),it was impossible for them to win the Triple Crown of course. |
