LARGE, VERY LARGE: Those are the 3 words, I'm using to describe the Series Bet on NY/LA. WRITE-UP!!!

There are many types of capping. There is situational capping. There is statistical capping. There is trend capping (see LC in the NBA forums). There is "human psychology" capping (one of my specialities to name a few.
And then there is the type of capping I will use for this thread called: "Larger Scope" capping.
With Larger Scope capping, you take a step back, several actually, and look at what a team is capable of, what history has shown and how it is constructed and whether that construction will help or hinder its ultimate goal.
When I cap the Rangers in this regard, and it is quite relevant to do so, I come to one conclusion:
The Ranger will not win the Stanley Cup.
Because of that, -170 is outstanding. There is debate in this forum as to whether -170 is good or bad. Folks, it is good. It is very good. I'm looking at -170 as a 58% return on my investment in a very short time. Tell me a stock, any stock that can do that for you.
So what is this "Larger Scope" concerning the Rangers?
The answer comes in two words: James Dolan.
He owns both the Knicks and the Rangers and their trajectories and roster composition parallel eachother.
Both these franchises tend to have highly bloated payrolls with little return.
They give the illusion they are competitive even when they are not due to the arena they play in (allegedly the world famous MSG and I'm still trying to figure out why that is when it comes to MAJOR shortcomings of the franchises that play their) and the city they reside (NY is the biggest media market in the world). This bloats their prices and spreads in the betting markets making fading them highly profitable over the long-term (Much like the Cowboys).
So the Knicks and Rangers are seemingly always in the news and this pushes them to the fringes of ESPN who feature them at times when they should be mere mentions in the program for how poorly they perform annually.
The Knicks and Rangers are famous for big signings, very poor cap space management, hirings/firings/controversies with their coaches/GM's which take on all the front page topics while the teams generally flounder.
And then, a year here or there, there is magic in the bottle.
Where was the Knicks magic? 1999 vs. the Spurs in the NBA Finals.
2014 is eerily similar for the hockey team that is also in the Garden.
You have what are miracles in VERY close series in which both NY teams prevailed (Allen Houston layup vs. the Heat to win the series 3-2; Rangers with the comeback vs. the Penguins this year).
Ultimately, these teams met up with the Grey and Black: The Spurs and the Kings. The magical run ended against the Spurs and it will end against the Kings here.
STFU this fool claim he watch basketball yet go back check his blog his is 0-4 on picking NBA series price. now jumping into NHL lol if you want to win check this guy out below;

Lebron legacy on the line, Duncan going to the hall of fame anyway! Good luck all! Great finals! some keys here; 1. Wade health Parker Ankle, 2. Bench, which bench are better? Which team have more experience, starting 5, PG advantage go to spurs, SG advantage go to Heat SF Advantage Heat PF advantage heat C advantage Spurs, With this all being said I advice you all to not play big on game 1. Wait for game 2, what are all failure gamblers biggest flaw? No patience. Game 1 result let say heat pull an upset, spurs will crush them game 2 for an easy beat. vice versa, IF SPURS WIN A BLOW OUT GAME 1, GAME 2 HEAT WILL ADJUST AND KEEP IT CLOSE. good luck all! |
