just wondering why they feel the need to keep verlander in for the distance. I know he was only at 90 pitches and he was going strong, but the season is long and its only his second start.

Bodog has a prop on the next wings home loss. I like the 18/1 odds. Tonight vs dallas: 9/5 Feb 17 vs Nashville: 5/2 Feb 19 vs SJ: 5/2 Feb 23 vs Canucks: 5/1 Feb 25 vs Avs: 10/1 Any other game in regular season: 18/1 No home losses during remaining season: 75/1 |

This all-star draft is pretty entertaining & finally a smart move by the NHL

While this draft feature is a pleasant change and makes the whole weekend more fun for both the players and fans, IMO the only way to make the all star game worth watching is to go back to the pre-draft method but introduce some incentive to make both teams and coaches try their hardest to win! I like what MLB did with the winning team securing home field advantage for the world series for their league (AL/NL). A similar move would eliminate the crap that goes on in the all star games in hockey and put the focus back on watching the game's best players perform at their best. |

he has no link with chara. Alfy has supposedly said he will pick karlsson first. Thus if Alfy wins the coin toss, karlson will go first. However, chara has no said who he will pick first. Thats why karlsson is the overall favorite.

Been looking up arbitraging on sports and find that a 3% guar. return is considered pretty good. Placing 46% on (1) and 27% on (2) and (3) respectively gives a guar. 3.2% return regardless of outcome. But anyways, Bodog has updated their odds and the sedin bet is now at even odds (1.83). That is a drastic change from the earlier odds. Wonder if this is the results of some arbitraging action or simply the public recognizing the Bruin-Canucks rivalry

I don't think I'm going to pursue it but the bet is on whether the sedin twins will be selected to the same team in the draft tonight. The local quebec lottery agency 'Mise O Jeu' is banking on the Vancouver-Boston rivalry and favor that the Sedins will be on the same team, presumably because chara wont pick them. Bodog is using the common sense argument that once one captain picks one sedin, the other captain will select the remaining sedin because they are too dangerous on the same team.
Will the sedins play on the same team: Bodog odds: (decimal odds) 2.25 Yes Mise O jeu: 2.25 No The catch is that MiseoJeu requires a 2-team parlay. They have another prop on which captain wins the coin toss for first pick. The odds are even at 1.7. The following three bets present arbitrage: (1)Bodog Sedins on same team(Yes) odds 2.25 stake=$1 (2)MiseOJeu Sedins on Same team(no),Alfredsson wins toss, odds(3.82) (3)MiseOJeu Sedins on same team(no), CHara wins toss, odds(3.82) Placing a stake between 0.55 and 0.62 on each (2) and (3) bet, produces arbitrage. For example, betting $1 on (1), $0.60 on (2) and $0.60 on (3) produces the following payoff: Sedins on same team =profit 0.05 (return=0.05/2.2=2.3%). Sedins on diff teams=profit 0.09(return=0.09/2.2=4.2%) |

Just found an arbitrage opportunity using online sportbooks and local sportsbooks, for tonights allstar draft. Because the local sportbook requires a minimum parlay of 2 events, it is trickier to arbitrage but still doable. However the gains are not significant. Under this strategy, the profits are guaranteed to be between two and four cents on the dollar. This is the first time I've caught an arbitrage opportunity and wondering whether that is worthwhile. While it is small, a 2-4% guaranteed return in one night seems something that should not be missed

about to place my bet on phx at -130 and it just jumped to -120. Hmm, lots of action on Anah, or is it because Getzlaf is cleared to play?
