Josh Norris and Thomas Chabot each had a goal and an assist for the Ottawa Senators in a 4-3 shootout win against the visiting Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday.

Tim Stutzle scored the lone goal in the shootout and Anton Forsberg made 26 saves in regulation and overtime, and three more in the shootout, for the Senators, who are 3-0-1 in their past four games.

Chandler Stephenson had two goals, Jonathan Marchessault finished with a goal and an assist, and William Karlsson and Shea Theodore each had two assists for the Golden Knights, who have lost three straight and five of six. Logan Thompson made 30 saves, plus two more in the shootout.

Marchessault gave Vegas a 1-0 lead at 5:41 of the first period. After Karlsson pressured Stutzle along the right wall, forcing a turnover, Marchessault collected the puck and took it to the slot before firing a shot that beat Forsberg blocker side.

That gave the visitors some life as they took control of the play. Ottawa, which recorded its first shot on goal 15 seconds into the period, didn't get its second until halfway through the frame.

Stephenson struck 12 seconds into a power play early in the second period to make it 2-0 Golden Knights. The center held on to the puck in the right circle as he looked for an opening and finally found one, sniping a wrist shot short side at 3:03.

Chabot extended his goal streak to three games to get the Senators on the board at the nine-minute mark. Mathieu Joseph sent the puck from the goal line to high in the zone, where Chabot collected it and took it to the high slot and wristed a shot through traffic past a screened Thompson.

That sparked Ottawa, and Thompson had to be sharp as the home side pushed for the equalizer. Thompson denied Brady Tkachuk from the left flank off the rush, and then closed the pads on Vladimir Tarasenko's attempt on the rebound.

Tkachuk found Drake Batherson in the slot for a quick strike glove side to tie it 2-2 on the power play at 18:47.

Norris put the Senators in front 3-2 at 5:48 of the third period when he deflected Chabot's point shot.

With Thompson pulled for the extra attacker, Stephenson scored far side from the right circle to tie it 3-3 at 18:45.
