No. 20 Clemson 16, Syracuse 6: Ammon Lakip kicked three field goals and Cole Stoudt threw a fourth-quarter touchdown pass as the host Tigers overcame four turnovers to defeat the Orange.

Stoudt, who threw a pair of interceptions and lost a fumble, finished 24-of-35 for 209 yards. Wayne Gallman gave Clemson (6-2, 5-1 ACC) a boost with 101 rushing yards as the Tigers won their fifth straight game.

AJ Long was 12-of-27 for 82 yards with a pair of interceptions for Syracuse (3-5, 1-3), which continued to play without starting quarterback Terrel Pryor (leg fracture). The teams combined for seven turnovers and went 9-of-33 on third-down conversions.

Clemson took its first lead with 3:30 left in the third quarter as Lakip drilled a 41-yard field goal and, after a Syracuse punt, Stoudt hooked up with Stanton Seckinger for a 19-yard score to make it 16-6. The Orange's next two possessions ended in a punt and a missed 42-yard field goal before the Tigers ran out the clock.

The game's first five possessions ended in punts before a deep throw by Stoudt was intercepted by Brandon Reddish, leading to a 13-play drive that Cole Murphy capped with a 43-yard field goal. Lakip's 38-yard field goal drew Clemson even with about 4 1/2 minutes to go in the second quarter, but Syracuse answered on Murphy's 50-yard field goal on the final play of the first half, shortly after a Stoudt fumble gave the Orange possession deep in Tigers' territory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Syracuse RB Prince-Tyson Gulley had 77 yards on 17 carries. ... Clemson WR Artavis Scott, who had caught 10 passes in each of the previous two games, nabbed seven receptions for 59 yards. ... The Tigers outgained the Orange 375-170 and had 23 of the 33 first downs in the game.
