No. 25 West Virginia 34, Oklahoma State 10: Clint Trickett passed for two touchdowns to lead the visiting Mountaineers to their fourth straight win.

Trickett completed 21-of-30 passes for 238 yards for West Virginia (6-2, 4-1 Big 12) but had his school-record streak of eight straight 300-yard passing games snapped for West Virginia. Wendell Smallwood rushed for a game-high 132 yards on 23 carries and Mario Alford caught seven passes for a game-high 136 yards and a touchdown for the Mountaineers, who moved into sole possession of second place in the Big 12.

Daxx Garman completed 21-of-41 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice for Oklahoma State (5-3, 3-2), which lost for just the third time in its last 26 games at Boone Pickens Stadium. Tyreek Hill rushed for 78 yards on 14 carries and James Washington had five catches for 87 yards for the Cowboys, who converted just 2-of-15 third-down tries.

West Virginia, coming in off a 41-27 upset of then-No. 4 ranked Baylor, jumped out to 14-0 lead as Trickett completed his first three passes for 112 yards, including touchdown passes of 19 yards to Kevin White and 79 yards to Alford. But Oklahoma State's defense stiffened after that, holding the Mountaineers to just 98 yards on its final six possessions of the half, and the Cowboys closed to within 14-10 at halftime on a 40-yard field goal by Ben Grogan and a 8-yard touchdown pass from Garman to fullback Teddy Johnson.

Josh Lambert, who entered the game ranked No. 2 in the nation in field goals made per game, then extended West Virginia's lead to 20-10 with field goals of 39 and 43 yards. Freshman safety Dravon Henry sealed the win with a 52-yard interception return of a Garman pass with 4:44 left, and Dreamius Smith added a 40-yard touchdown run after the Cowboys turned the ball over on downs on the ensuing possession to conclude the scoring.
