ATLANTA -- Georgia tailback Sony Michel rushed for 149 yards and kicker Marshall Morgan added two field goals to lead the Bulldogs to a 13-7 victory over rival Georgia Tech on Saturday.

Michel, a sophomore, carried 24 times, one a 34-yard touchdown, and went over 1,000 yards. He has rushed for 1,076 yards this season.

Morgan added field goals of 19 and 37 yards for the Bulldogs (9-3), who have won four straight and avenged last season's overtime loss to the Yellow Jackets. Morgan also missed a 40-yarder.

Georgia quarterback Greyson Lambert completed 18-of-25 passes for 224 yards.

Georgia Tech (3-9) turned the ball over three times, twice on interceptions and once on a fumble.

The Yellow Jackets scored their only points on a 15-yard pass from quarterback Justin Thomas to wide receiver Ricky Jeune with 3:24 remaining in the game.

Thomas, injured last week against Miami, was ineffective most of the day. He rushed nine times for five yards and completed only 6-of-18 passes for 82 yards with two interceptions.

Running back Clinton Lynch led Georgia Tech with 78 yards rushing.

Georgia led 7-0 at halftime. The Bulldogs scored on their first possession when Michel took a handoff off the right end and went 34 yards for a touchdown.
