Dodgers hit three more homers in win over Mets

LOS ANGELES -- The homer-happy Los Angeles Dodgers blasted three more Thursday night and ran their winning streak to a season-high seven games as they finished a four-game sweep of the New York Mets 6-3.
The Mets have lost seven of their last eight.
Justin Turner, Enrique Hernandez and Joc Pederson all homered for the Dodgers. It was the 14th straight game that the Dodgers have hit a home run, tying a franchise record set last season.
The Dodgers hit 15 home runs and scored 36 runs in the series against the injury-depleted Mets pitching staff.
The Dodgers (48-26) moved 1 1/2 games ahead of Colorado and Arizona in the National League West.
The game was tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the seventh when Dodgers hitters and Mets pitchers combined for a three-run rally and 6-3 L.A. lead.
Pederson greeted reliever Paul Sewald with a first-pitch home run to right field, his fifth homer of the season. A single and walk sent Sewald out for Jerry Blevins, who walked Hernandez to load the bases.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts wanted reliever Pedro Baez to throw the eighth, so he let Baez hit with the bases loaded and two outs. Blevins walked Baez on four pitches, then walked Austin Barnes to give the Dodgers a 6-3 lead.
The Mets have allowed 110 home runs, the second-most in the NL, and rank last or next to last in ERA, hits allowed, runs allowed and walks.
Hyun-Jin Ryu went five innings, allowing home runs to Curtis Granderson and Travis d'Arnaud. The Dodgers needed five relievers to close it out. Kenley Jansen got four outs for his 16th save of the season.
Granderson hit a leadoff home run for the second straight day. He sent a 2-1 pitch into the right-center-field bleachers.
It was his 44th career leadoff home run, tying Ian Kinsler for the lead among active players and putting Granderson fifth on the all-time list. It was also his 20th with the Mets, putting him one ahead of teammate Jose Reyes for the club record.
The Dodgers erupted in the third inning with a two-out rally against Mets starter Steve Matz (1-2).
Turner hit his fifth home run of the season, third in the last four games, on a 2-0 pitch.
Cody Bellinger followed with a ground-rule double to right, and Hernandez hit the next pitch for his seventh homer of the season, putting the Dodgers ahead 3-1.
Matz went six innings, allowing three hits and five walks while striking out eight.
D'Arnaud hit his eighth home run in the fourth to cut the deficit to 3-2.
Ryu allowed two runs on five hits and two walks and struck out three.
NOTES: The Mets purchased the contract of RHP Chasen Bradford from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned Wednesday night's starter, Tyler Pill, to Las Vegas. Bradford has been in the Mets' system since 2011 as a reliever. He was 1-1 with a 4.26 ERA in 29 games for the 51s. ...
