Thanks for the early post estes.
It's usually difficult to follow you in a GMT +5.5 timezone though I can see the benefit in posting near gametime. |

Don't worry, it will be close at the end.
The pace of the game will fade towards the end. The pace for the under was all but gone on Sunday but in the end it only lost because of a garbage 3 with 6 seconds left.

Most books have moved the line to 5 for the Montreal game.

I'm watching this and it's not only the passing but the running game as well. Cougars are get huge plays on the ground with ease.
Got O72.5 for the game, so I'm letting this ride.

Will Houston take the foot off the gas?
I got O72.5 2 TDs would do but given how useless the Rice offense has been, it would need the Cougars to score two with possibly their backup QB in the game. Hedge with U28.5?

Betfair is great for hedging totals. Of course, not available to you US guys.
They don't move the total line like US books (the market just adjusts the price) and hence middle opportunities arise. So today, at halftime - you could lay for a small amount under 50.5 to hedge the over 48 pre-kickoff total for a low risk/high reward middle opportunity. Sometimes there's also a near zero risk/high reward situation. I came close to hitting one of these with the PHI/WAS total a few weeks when the only score in the 2H was a Redskins TD in the last few minutes of the 4Q. I had over 37 pre game, betfair had under 38.5 and 1H score was 27-10.

Didn't bet a side today but I usually place a bet on these crazy odds (at matchbook) to hedge against an opposite play. It will cost you a small amount of your eventual winnings bit you can at least rest easy and enjoy some insane finishes if they do happen.

It wouldn't even have to be that close if they could shoot theirs FTs.
Garbage FT shooting from both teams, especially Lakers.

I'm not betting on this game but what's the point if neither team plays defense. It's just becomes boring as hell.

As for the approximations, that was because I used averaged historical closing odds for those picks as I didn't play those games to know what the exact odds were. Regardless, he doesn't have an obligation here to make things easy for us. Like he said, he is doing this for documentation sake. Why piss on it when he's kind enough to share it at the same time?!

Seriously, is it really that hard to read a release sheet?
Go through all the bets he's made prior to the last week. In all cases the units to win were whole units (non-teaser bets). From week 4 moneyline Colts -550 ML / 11units (TO WIN 2) Cowboys -140 ML / 4.2units (TO WIN 3) Steelers -250 ML / 7.5units (TO WIN 3) Giants -380 ML / 11.4units (TO WIN 3) dog BALTIMORE +3 -110 / 4.4units (TO WIN 4) favourite CINCINNATI -5 -110 / 3.3units (TO WIN 3) Now, we have week 5 NYG&PHI / twin ML 5units (approx. -400, so to win 1.25 units?) MINN / ML 5units (around -600ML, so to win .8 units?) CAR / ML 5units (around -200 ML, so to win 2.5 units?) Why suddenly would the units won take decimal form?? He just changed it from risked to "to win" without expressly stating it but still implying it through his wager release. Now, lets stop this nitpicking and move on with things. Good luck with week 6, SN. |

You are getting quite tedious now. Your witty little retorts are fading in quality as well. I give the last one a D+
Please, do try again.
