Just got Purdue -2.5 and U/64 from my local....BTW he is located 5 minutes from Purdue's campus so he's getting a ton of action on this game! Actually, Purdue's strength this year has been their Def, certainly not their Offense....it's been a bend but don't break too often Def. Scary. It could certainly go either way. I'm hoping the D shows up one more time!!

I like Purdue -3 and the under 62.5........Purdue's RB, Bolden, is out and it's their WR, Ross, who is out. However Purdue has several RB's who have played minutes this year and having Bolden out isn't devastating.
When W Mich has matched up against the other 2 Big Ten teams this year they averaged 15 pts per game! Sure, they score 50 a game v.s the Toledo and Akron's but I just don't see W Mich scoring more than 24 in this one. So basically, Purdue needs to put up at least 40 to hit the over....I don't see that happening either!

I'm with ya on this one. Lots of love on here for the over but looking closely W. Mich only averaged 17 pts per game v.s 5 teams that could play some def (michigan, Illinois, E.Mich, N Ill, and Miami, OH) they averaged 50 a game v.s the likes of Akron, Toledo,Ball st, U Conn, and C mich.
Purdue isn't a offensive juggernut and struggles to strike quick. Def is actually their strength this year. I like that this number keeps climbing and I will wait to get the highest # possible. GL

Over the past 5 years, the first round opening games of the Big Ten tournament has not produced a total over 131. The average total for the 15 games over this 5 year period is 116.
With that being said, the current line for the NW - Minn game is 133 and I will roll with the under here. Lets hope the streak continues!!

Like your picks...might as well stay with your big ten theme...I feel Wisconsin -20 is generous. Purdue has way too many injuries on the offensive side of the ball and will have a hard time putting points on the board. I think the Badgers roll in this spot! GL with your picks.

Wisconsin is my favorite pick for Saturday. Purdue has so many injuries on the offensive side of the ball, it's very difficult for them to move the ball. They will have a hard time putting up 14 points. Gl

Purdue's problem is injuries. I don't know how they can even field a team these days. Rob Henry, the freshman Qb and third stringer going into the year, tore the fingernail off his index finger on his throwing hand against Ohio St last week and may not play today. That leaves them with the possibility of starting freshman QB (4th on the depth chart) Sean Robinson. The only action Robinson has seen is 1 1/2 quarters in last weeks game.
Yes, this year Illinois has the potential to beat Purdue by 17 or more. I'm not sure how Purdue is going to move the ball up and down the field today. Purdue's defense should be on the field all day long and this may just wear them down and I can see Illinois covering late, IMO.
